My friend and I kayaked and snorkeled at Ilsa Chora with Carillo Adventure &Travel tours and it was the best part of the trip for me. Bryan and Carlos were our guides. We have limited experience and they were so patient and made me feel 110% safe. It felt like we were just four friends having fun. You can't go... More

We used Carrillo Adventures & Travel to go on a Night Turtle Tour. Our guide, Johell, was very friendly, informative and answered all questions we had. We got to see a few sea turtles nesting and lay eggs- it was a breathtaking experience. I would highly recommend Carrillo Adventures & Travel for any excursions you want to take. The prices... More

We used Carrillo Adventures & Travel to transfer from San Jose to Samara and back. Our driver (Steve) was efficient, friendly and spoke fairly good English. To our relief he didn't do any of the scary overtakes that the Ticos seem so fond of. The van was comfortable and had wifi and good aircon. We also used this company for... More

We had a great time kayaking out to Chora Island from Sámara beach and then snorkelling in the shallows around the island. This has been our first time in Costa Rica. After a few weeks in rainforests and cloud forests seeing all manner of wildlife it was great to see a great variety here too on what we thought was... More

First time in Costa Rica and as a single mom traveling with 2 older teenage daughters, I was unsure of what to expect. Our hotel set up transportation from Liberia airport to the hotel in samara. Steve was our driver and was so professional and pleasant. He pointed out many things to us on our 2 hour drive. I was... More

Bryan and Carlos led our family of four (with two young kids) on an amazing morning of kayaking and snorkeling! Transportation to and from our nearby hotel in Samara was smooth. They were especially patient and helpful making our kids feel comfortable using the snorkeling gear. We kayaked to a reef near Isla Chora where they pointed out all kinds... More

We booked a river kayaking tour with Carrillo Adventures through our hotel. Brian and Carlos were cheerful and thorough tour guides. They picked us up and dropped us off. The weather was overcast but the experience was excellent. We saw lots of wildlife, thanks to their sharp eyes, and learned many things. It was a delightful afternoon! Highly recommended. (Bring... We did a kayak/snorkel trip with Darren from Hotel Guanamar to Isla India, a 2-mile round trip. We are in relatively good shape and have kayaked before, but the ocean waves needed a bit more effort than we expected! It was great fun, though, and Darren was an excellent guide both on the kayaks and while snorkeling. He brought fresh... More

We used their transportation service from Rincon del la Vieja to Samara and also from Samara to Manuel Antonio. Very friendly, efficient service on both occasions, and very good level of driving safety by both William and Wilbur. Wilbur even stopped near to the town of Tárcoles to view the crocodiles from the bridge. Would recommend to other travellers.

Kayaking takes a lot of strength and I definitely recommend covering up with long sleeves and shoes that cover your feet so you don't get sunburn. But it was a lot of fun!! We kayaked over to an island type location and got to snorkel. We saw so many cool starfish and hermit crabs, etc. They also fed us fruit... More
