One of the better beaches in the world. There is beautiful views. Surfing. Horseback riding. Sea kayaking. The people are friendly and bars are easily accessible. Fishing on the rocks to the right, a long vista to the left for a 3 or 4 mile...More

We had a great time here as part of a Costa Rica Monkey Tours trip. The beach is a little rocky for swimming but swimming shoes would fix that. Great for surfing, snorkeling, horseback riding. Must-do is a kayak trip to Isla Chora. The town...More

The sand is very fine, so it is nice to walk and to swim. I missed some Palms where you could find some shadow. One thing I didn't like was that there were a lot of lumber everywhere (not very clean).

Nice, underdeveloped beach! Surrounded by palm trees with kayaking option. No chairs on the beach as it is mostly secluded. Quiet in the rainy months (sept-nov) so you get amazing tropical mornings to yourself for walking. Too rocky in some parts for swimming or walking....More

This is a great family beach, close to shops and restaurants, calm waves, a great place to learn to surf.

Nice quiet beach, water was wonderful, lots of nearby restaurants and shops, town is very nice. TripAdvisor won't let me submit my review unless it's at least 100 characters long which it now is.

It isn't really a party town. More family oriented with primarily restaurants, not pubs so much.

We used Samara Adventure Co for a dolphin/snorkelling tour. It was excellent. The Samara Info Center has many more activities to do in and around Samara. Enjoy!
