Visited Doka estate coffee as a part of a tour that included volcano and waterfall. You don't really see how coffee is made or go out on plantation to see how it grows or is gathered. They did throw in free breakfast that was ok. Thought our tour guide claimed coffee is cheaper from the producer, a small bag cost... More

Very much enjoyed our tour despite the rain and cool weather. Typical food buffet was ok. Staff had good customer service skills. Our guide was very accommodating to our group when we said we would prefer to stay under shelter for the tour. I would think that on a sunny day walking through the field would be a plus. Great... I am not a coffee lover but this was included in my tour. I was bored and had nothing much to do. Coffee lovers can get to purchase some fresh coffee beans, though

This is one of the best coffee tours in Costa Rica because you really learn the entire process of making coffee, from the seeds being planted, to coffee plants, picking coffee, processing the coffee grains, to roasting, to drinking! The Doka Estate is family owned and is now on its 4th generation of operations. Wonderful service, excellent tour guides, affordable... More

I think this place is amazing. The staff is incredibly kind and nice. The guides and the tour itself are great. However, I came here just looking for a place to have my afternoon coffee. There is no really a coffee place here, they do have a restaurant and that's it. The property is amazing but I would suggest to... More

This was one of the things I really wanted to do in Costa Rica and it did not disappoint! The grounds were beautiful and the staff very nice. We got a complete view of coffee from beans to cup. The tour was educational and fascinating and the shopping a pleasure. Be sure to stop here.

The Doka Estate is a very rare look into the life of the bean that keeps the world caffeinated! The lecture provided insight into coffee making from the planting of the bean in the perfect soil and climate a shocking lesson about caffeine - do you drink breakfast blend or expresso for the biggest caffeine kick? The meal we had... More

What a great way to spend a couple of hours. The tour was very interesting, both about the long history of the Estate and also about the complete growing and production cycle of their coffee. We were there at the weekend....it probably would be better to go during the week and see some of the processes in action. The Estate... More
