Currently this is closed to the public due to it being active and not safe. If it is open when you are there it's a beauty but, may not be visible due to the clouds

If you are planning a trip to Poas Volcano please check to see if it is open prior to traveling. The park has been closed since the first part of April and is not expected to reopen anytime soon.

I believe here is still minor activity / eruptions in June and July 2017 and I think the volcano is closed to visitors. Please check with local websites.
