The family owned and operated natural hot springs, which allow only a limited number of guests each day, provide a private, relaxing oasis during your vacation. There are five pools, one with a cascading waterfall, which reach up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit. There is no better way to unwind after a long day than by visiting the hot springs and treating your body to its naturally replenishing effects. When taking a break from the soothing hot springs, you can dine in the authentic, home-style Costa Rican restaurant.

Ver nice and well maintained facility with 6 swimming pools where the water temperature ranges from tepid to hot. Attendance is limited so the place is never overcrowded; it is very clean with nice changing facilities (they provide lockers and plastic bags for wet swimming suits) and a decent restaurant.

There are several hot spring environments to choose from in La fortuna. Ecotermales Fortuna was perfect for us. It is a natural setting. The dense vegetation makes for cooler conditions when entering hot pools in a very warm climate. There where only 10-12 other people there, so it was very quiet and tranquil. The place was very clean and comfortable.

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon and it was a terrific couple of hours we spent here at the Ecotermales hot springs. We also had lunch on site which was very delicious. The different pools were very hot &refreshing and also in the jungle portion of CR which was very unique, not something you can find anywhere... More

Ecotermales has been updated since our first visit several years ago. This is far more intimate than the larger options, being more tranquil. There was a large tour bus there on the evening that we visited. The maximum number of guests is 150, not 100. Still, this is a sharp contrast to Baldi, which is almost directly across the road.

Incredibly relaxing and hot. Went with my 'tour' group and would go again if I go back to Costa Rica. The dinner was amazing as well.

I'd not eat here again but the rest was very relaxing. Clean facility that was overly crowded with people.

It was not at all crowded, and the pools were great. There were different temperatures, including cold plunge. We went at night and paid for the buffet dinner, which was unremarkable. I would pass on that if given a choice. Otherwise, very happy!

They only allow up to 100 people per session. Beautiful setting. We went at 5pm, perfect way to end the day. Nice dinner included

This activity was supposed to be a three hour experience bathing in the hot springs that emanate from the adjacent volcano, allowing two hours for relaxing / swimming in the water, and one hour for an evening meal. We were finished in under two hours. At the time we booked this experience, we did not realise that our hotel villa... More

We had a tour group add this to our itinerary for us and we definitely could have done without. We had several hot springs at our resort that we would have enjoyed just as much. Dinner was buffet style and we enjoyed the food. The pools were large and beautifully landscaped, but busy. We would have preferred more privacy, it's... More
