We stayed in an AirBNB in the Nuevo Arenal area with views of the lake. It was very picturesque. Unfortunately it rained most of our trip so the views would come and go but it was some good R & R for us.

Great national park. For 15 dollars US you gain entry. Good system of trails including mounds of lava rock. Lots of wildlife to see. Saw three different types of snakes. Another must for the family!

I'm not sure as where we entered the Lake was the boat pickup and drop off. If you contact My Costa Rica they could answer your question. Enjoy your journey.
