Our specialty is combining paddling with an immersion into the natural Costa Rican environment. For more than 20 years, we have been guiding birdwatching trips throughout northern Costa Rica. And, for the past 14 years, we've also been guiding canoe trips in Costa Rica, Vermont USA, Canada, and Nicaragua. Enjoy nature while observing wildlife on the river banks of Costa Rica with our safari tours in your choice of canoe, raft or kayak in Penas Blancas River. Or you may prefer to enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic Arenal Volcano by joining our Lake Arenal by canoe tour. If you would you like explore the nature of Costa Rica by foot, we offer walks to very recognized natural destination tours like Rio Celeste Hike, Cerro Chato Hike, and the majestic Arenal Volcano.

My husband and I did the all day combination tour with the volcano, waterfall, hanging bridges and lunch and ended the night at the Tabacon hot springs with dinner. Pierre was our guide and George was our driver. Both kept their eyes open while driving and spotted sloths for us to see up in the trees. Pierre was knowledgeable and... More

We did two excursions with canoa and we're lucky enough to get Santos both times! He was full of information and had a great eye for wildlife. Would highly recommend.

Our guide, Piedro, was the best ever! He was great at spotting wildlife and helping us learn about many animals (sloths, monkeys, crocs), birds (toucans) and waterfowl, and more. The trip was easy paddling but no means boring given all there was to look at on the banks, in the trees, and in the water. The tour included a stop... More

We travel to Cano Negro from La Fortuna for a one day trip. The trip was excellent and very well organized. Pierre was our guide and he was outstanding. Pierre had been telling us about the economy , the people and the way of living which I found very interesting . He was very educated on the different types of... More

Canoa Aventure was the primary group that coordinated our various outings in Costa Rica. They did a great job getting us to and from the sites, keeping us safe while having a great time. Pierre, Martin, Jorge and all were great in showing us the wildlife and beauty of Costa Rica during our rafting trip, birdwatching, ziplining, boat trip, and... More

Great tour! Our privets guide Pedro was very patient and interesting. He was leading us the way and showing us a lot of amazing animals that we could never see if we were by ourselves. Very nice and special experience

Highly recommend the safari rafting trip on the Penas Blancas River! The rafting trip had beautiful views and our guide pointed out multiple opportunities to view wildlife along the way (crocodiles, monkeys, sloths, birds, etc). We stopped for a lovely snack halfway through and were able to enjoy traditional Costa Rican food. The guide was very friendly and informative!

I took the 1968 Lava Flow hike in the morning. The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It poured in the way down from the summit and it really just made the "rain forest experience" more authentic and fun. They have many types of Aventuras, wish I could do more! Hasta luego and Pura Vida!

We did the half day observatory tour and had a ball.. Our tour guide Rebecca was outstanding! She made stops when we spotted wildlife such as toucans and had such a through knowledge of the rainforest and local area of La Fortuna. Whilst walking through the rainforest she spotted howler monkeys and we stopped and watched them for as long... More

This place seems like a great place to take tour (out of Fortuna). We did the Cano Eco Tour. The only thing I would say is to make sure and ask the operator that sells you the tour if they will be doing "everything" mentioned in the brochure. We got shorted (but the tour we did get was very good)... More
