Everything that has been said about the friendly and helpful staff is true- and understated! (1) We registered, then (2) bought tickets for the cavern tour and then (3) talked with the Ranger while walking the trails. With every interaction, they were helpful, polite, nice, and friendly. The facilities are a little 'rough'- (small) gravel and in need of leveling... More

The park is a bit run-down and doesn't offer much beyond camping, a big playground, a pool, and the caverns, but the caverns are definitely worth the visit. (We took one of the two available trails and it was definitely skippable.) The guide was 20 and unprofessional, but he was very vivacious and made us feel welcome. Our tour took... More

We took a little hike before our tour of the cavern. Easy hike, about a mile and a half long. The cavern tour was good and Our guide made sure everyone got the most out of the visit. Lots of steps, so be aware that tennis shoes and able bodies are a must for this activity.

I love that you came on a Sunday afternoon. Many people believe that you MUST make a full day trip to enjoy this park. As much as we'd love for each visitor to spend an entire day with us, you are more than welcome to make a short trip out of it as well. A cave tour is a fantastic... More

This trip was pretty good. Small little park which was perfect for us to learn how to use our new equipment. It was a short trip from home and convenient for us if we forgot something crucial or had any issues. We loved the trails and the geocaches that were available for us to enjoy as a family at no... I'm glad you and your family had a nice getaway to the park. I understand your frustrations about the honor system and we hope to have something better worked out in the near future. We also plan to update the camping area as soon as funds become available. Please come back to see us! More

Our church had a picnic recently at the park and used the small pavilion. It was very nice. We cooked our meat on the grills next to the pavilion. The picnic tables are great. Some of the kids went for a swim in the pool. It is huge! The water is a nice cool temp, because it's water source comes... More

It was a two hour drive to visit. But I don't complain if it worth it. It was worth the drive, at least once. The cave is interesting and got to see some bats up close, I mean really close. The guide, Ashleigh, I believe, was enthusiastic and didn't rush us. I would recommend stopping here if you are in... More

The website was a bit miss leading with the entrance fee.. if you're going with a large group keep in mind it's $3.00 per person in your car. The pool looked nice, unfortunately there were people smoking everywhere so our visit was a bit unpleasant. We waited about 45 minutes for a guided tour so we went over to the... More

Park itself is right off I-65 and easy to find. We mainly went to the park to do the cave tour. We went on a hot day, so it was perfect day to go on a cave tour since the cave stays a constant cool temperature. The tour lasted about an hour and consisted of a guide showing the highlights... More

Love this state park. It's small but quiet and lush. Registration was so easy and the couple were wonderful and very helpful. Showers and bathrooms are new. Best part were the sounds of the birds and a campfire

Beautiful, quiet campground. New bathhouse. We love stopping here when we are traveling on I-65. Very nice, accommodating staff. This place is a hidden little gem that is less than 3 miles from I-65!
