Didn't take time to go inside because I didn't know it was a museum but the architecture alone is outstanding. I must have taken a dozen pictures from various angles. But, next time, now that I know that it houses a museum, I will certainly spend more time inside than outside.

There is a 20 minute video that is helpful to see first to understand how Carver got to the Alabama. The exhibits were excellent and you learned a lot about Carver's life, studies, and community work. The exhibits were understandable and this would be an excellent museum for kids. You even learn a little bit about agriculture practices and a... More

Staff was very friendly and the exhibits were well done. It was not very busy allowing the young lady working there to spend time with us which made the visit seem more personal.

George Washington Carver's light highlights the accomplishments of a man who had nothing, but was blessed to be placed in a situation where he was encouraged to learn. He walked alone in the woods and was inspired to use the peanut for so many things. He and Booker T. Washington taught farmers how to maximize their crop output wit a... More

We enjoyed learning about the history of George Washington Carver, his inventions and seeing his home. Our older teens as well as the younger ones were thrilled to purchase a peanut plant. We took it home and planted it Ina pot and it bloomed! Us adults took time to read each detailed report.

There's so much to know about George Washington Carver, and this museum teaches you a lot about his ideas and inventions. There's a great 20 minute video downstairs and exhibits covering much of his life. Not the easiest place to find (it is off W Montgomery but inside the Tuskegee campus) since the campus security guard did not mention where... More
