This is a must see for those who love formal gardens. This is a grand scale, immaculately maintained formal garden on sprawling 65 acres. The guided cell phone tour was an interesting addition. Plan to wear comfortable shoes and allow a good amount of time...More

I visited Bellingrath Gardens on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Although the road to get there was a little sketchy, the gardens are beautiful and well planned out. I loved the rose garden with gorgeous shades of red, pink, yellow and white flowers. It...More

This is one of my favorite places in Mobile. The Christmas lights are the most popular time, but they have something all year round. The spring is beautiful with delphiniums and hydrangea, summer with the roses and azaleas, fall (my favorite) with the cascading chrysanthemums,...More

Thought the gardens were lovely and it was a very quiet and picturesque place. We spent about 3 hours there but didn't do the house tour. Nice gift shop. Didn't have a concession price for seniors etc.

We did the home and garden tour. The rose garden was in full bloom and gorgeous! Lots of potted petunias everywhere. If you like antiques the home is worth the tour. Hearing the history of the family was enjoyable.

I was there in late May and the flowers were gorgeous, but the bugs were everywhere and it was hot. That's part of life in the south, so the prettiest times for flowers (spring, summer) are also time for heat and bugs...so... More
