What a great find! A lovely little neighborhood bar with some great beer on tap. Though we didn't eat here tonight, the menu sports some good Scottish, Irish and general Western bar food!
Live music Wednesday through Sunday nights.
I was very surprised to see an Irish pub 2 blocks from my hotel, Crowne Plaza, Shanghai. They were having entertainment that night so I thought I'd give it a try. Looked like an Irish Pub back home in the USA. Mostly expats but some...More
Recommended by a friend and was thrilled, it felt like a little slice of home.
The food selection though small, was all delicious. I was thrilled that they had bangers & mash on the menu. We had a visiting friend with us from the UK...More
I was in Shanghai recently with a friend when, just towards evening, we were impressed by the need to go for several pints of delicious Guinness. Thankfully, just over the road from the hotel, I spied a glimpse of The Tipsy Fiddler.

Selection of great beers in this cozy Irish/Scottish pub. The live music on the Friday night we visited was terrific. Small band of two, really great vibes - everyone was into it. A good selection of drinks, along with good table service, went down well...More
Stopped in The Tipsy Fiddler for a quick pint after dinner on Tuesday 9/8/15. Well, quite a few pints later we called it an evening. The atmosphere was bright and friendly, the service was good and the young man playing the guitar and singing just...More

We are aware of the unfortunate incident that happened and are sorry this happened in the Tipsy. The woman involved is not a member of staff in the pub and has nothing to do with the Tispy Fiddler. We are aware of who she...More
Seems like a nice vibe in this place. I went on a rainy wednesday night so it wasn't that crowded. The staff were very friendly and I chatted with the manager for a while.
I went the night after St. Patrick's night and someone showed...More
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities.
While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
