Spectacular view. Pls chose time for visiting btw 5 pm and 7 pm, when the sunset has warm colors. There is a lot of cafes and restaurants with good view. Try to stay away from the central part of the road, it's most overcrowded. the nearest subway (LuJiaZui) is about 5 mins away. Don't forget your camera.

The moment one sets foot on this road, the colonial touch becomes apparent. The bund on one side makes the road ever more attractive. Hordes walk on this this road crossing over to the bund at every traffic light. The ideal time to be on this street is at night when the buildings are lit up - a sight not... More

It is not Zhongshan road itself that is famous, but part of it, the part with The Bund on one side. The Bund (reviewed separately) is the most popular of sights in Shanghai. The road has an elevated promenade on the opposite side of The Bund, along the Hangpu river from where you get a good view and good photos... More

This road, which front the popular and crowded Bund is a reminder of the British past when it comes to a number of the official building located there. An interesting visit but one without any great drawcard.

As said this roads runs along the Bund, nice to walk along for the sites and the architecture of the buildings, we never get bored when seeing a different area, it's all part of travel to see different places, we enjoyed this road.

Summary: Basically, this is just a road that runs along the Bund, period. But what makes it special is that it also runs along all the colonial buildings on the North side of the river. It contains world-renowned hotels, cafes, and restaurants. Walking along the road provides great photo opp's. And you are walking along with history!

This road is where the infamous The Bund is located along, Beware when crossing because it is quite a huge road. I am not sure why this road is an attraction while there is already The Bund is available in the list,

This is practically the equivalent of the Ring Rds in Beijing because it runs in a loop from the east to the west. On the First Zhongshan East Rd it links the beautiful views of Lujiazui陆家嘴 Pudong New Area. The Bund is here! You may take as many photos as you like and walk along the embankment of the Bund!... This is just the same as the bund but is on the same road and can keep walking down so can get closer to the old landmark of Shanghai and new pudong just across the river. Don't miss the founding father of Shanghai 'Chen Yee' from 1901-1972.
