It's a great place if you're going for the first time. It has a huge building and has many pavilions. (Space, animal, electronic etc.) Ok can visit this place if you have a spare day and nothing else to do.

Very mixed review, when you see the building and courtyard you think wow! Then you queue for ages, inside is chaos with no controls over where people go, displays are really quite terrible and basic, food hall was carnage, all in I would give this...More

Visited it in July 2017 with my 24yr old daughter. Unpleasant experience, nothing worth seeing, outdated content and display. We realised that in shanghai it would be crowded everywhere, but the whole entry process was still tiring & confusing, no help but cold staff. The place...More

A very disappointing venue, in desperate need of refurbishment. I first went here 25 years ago with my children and they loved it, but a trip with their children was a disaster. Lots of exhibits were dangerously broken or so grubby they were untouchable

There is enough to entertain adults as well as children at this excellent museum. It does get busy so I would advise turning up early. There is a cafe and you can buy water etc.

...because here there is not much to see. There is an animal exhibition, some plants, few fishes, a pavillon of the human body. I found noteworthy only the displays of oil exploration and of space race: explanations are also in english, but the featured movies...More

We visited the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum on a Wednesday afternoon in July and while the international schools were already on Summer break, there were loads of Chinese school children on tour. Some schools must be year round. The crowds were pretty dense and...More

Easy and close access to the subway. Get there early, if possible, before the museum opens. A very long line already just a half-an-hour after opening, although shaded. Bring a roller bag of food and drinks if you want to "picnic" in the open spaces...More

Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place
that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle
down and stop living in the cramped confines of a
refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park
are some of the most desirable as they are in close
proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to
the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw,
it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports
