I always come here for dinner after work. Many restaurants and food kiosks from underground floor to the top of this mall. They have a food court in the 6th floor which sell Shanghai dumplings and traditional local snacks. I enjoy the book shop and cinema in 5th floor too.

I was more impressed with the Xujiahui metro station. GIGANTIC!!! There are 20 exits in this station. Exit No. 10 will take you straight to Metro City Mall. The mall looks quite exciting. It was crowded as it was a rainy day. This mall is not as spacious as many others in Shanghai so when it is crowded, it is not that comfortable to walk around. Moreover people here do not mind lining up for a long time for food! So, ground floor has the most people there as bakeries and restaurants are there. Food is not a worry in this mall, there’s restaurants on every floor!

Metro City used to be primarily electronic goods, this has changed. The mall has been completely revamped into a lifestyle, venue, fashion and food, the tiny "digital" section on the fourth floor is a Sony Shop, a Denon/KEF nook and one or two other small shops. Lots of food available, lots of domestic brands flagship shops, high end and populated. There is a computer and parts building Huijia Bubilding slightly south on Caoxi Lu, subway exit 7, and a very large also remodelled BuyNow building with four stories of PC and camera and trend electronics lifestyle, not as gritty as it was before, but better selection of good stuff.

This plaza is mostly full of electronics, but of course there are other things such as restaurants and a cinema. I saw Harry Potter and the Half-blooded Prince there, and it wasn't bad. The cinema was just a little crowded (as they all are)...but the rest was all very nice indeed.

Well basically as of writing the electronics mall is being demolished but only the metro city is left. One thing notable for me is the Starbucks on the second floor with the patio(has a great view of the intersection). There are also a handful of good restaurants here.

However if you are on the hunt for electronics. Go exit 9. Once you go out all buildings on the left are electronics store. You can get items which are less than than market prices if you know how to haggle

Mall with a variety of shops and restaurants with easy access to the Metro lines 1 and 9.
There is a big Hersey’s chocolate shop at the entrance together with a Pizza Hut on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor there are a number of opticians and Bread/cake shops.
All the other floors appear to have a number of restaurants (sushi, chinese and vietnamese) and fresh juice bars (try the sugar cane and lime juice) and coffee shops (Starbucks). The upper back of the mall is mainly computer and phone shops. One thing you need to be aware of is that majority of the shops in the mall (in fact probably in China) do not accept AMEX, MasterCard or Visa cards, only cash or Chinese RMB cards. We only found one restaurant in this mall that accepted the MasterCard.

Not the best mall around. It has a limited selection of stores. What strikes you first is it's weird ball shaped facade.

China and Japan target the PlayStation market mostly and it's hard to find XBOX One games but there's a shop on the third floor next to Subway and Nikon which sells new releases. Also you can ask the shop owners to order new games. There's a Pizza Hut and KFC downstairs too and the mall is minutes from the Xujiahui station on the Shanghai metro (Exit 10)

Shanghai is a beautiful city to visit, people are friendly and there is lots of beautiful ancient architecture, temples, gardens and museums to visit. Taxi fares are very cheap but hotels, gift shopping and restaurants are not. A memorable trip!
