My husband and I took a dumpling cooking class and had the best time. First, we went to the Wet Market. We were given a list of items to purchase. The Chinese words were phonetically spelled out in english so that we could ask for them. Then we went back to Olivia's kitchen to learn how to prepare, hands on,... More

We did this cooking class with Olivia and had an excellent experience. First, we went to the markets, where Olivia highlighted some interesting Chinese produce and then to the kitchen to cook 3 tasty dishes. We were able to bring our children along with a watcher ticket and they enjoyed working along side us preparing the food and sharing the... More

Useful and fun! We bought all our ingredients at the wet market, were treated to home made sweet wines, and local snack foods, and made three dishes. Left with a full belly, and recipes I'll keep making at home in Canada for a long time to come.

We took the soup dumpling class with Helen, and must highly recommend this experience for those interested in Chinese cooking and culture. First, the class was held at Helen's apartment, which afforded us an opportunity to see a more typical home after weeks in hotels. The dumplings themselves were delicious, and they were honestly a welcome challenge to prepare from... More

We did this cooking class as part of an Intrepid tour . it was supposed to be a dumpling cooking class , but was changed at the last minute which was disappointing . We visited the market first of all to purchase our ingredients ,this was interesting, we were each tasked to purchase items which we had to ask for... More

Thanks for your suggestions and we are very sorry for your uncomfortable. Since Dim Sum class and La-mian class are very popular here, the registers more than our expected on that day. We apologize about it. And we will arrange these two classes on different days (e.g one for Saturday, one for Sunday ) according to your advice. Anyway, you... More

We attended the wet market tour and cooking class with Erica and chef Shengjiang (?). The wet market tour was an enjoyable experience. It was fun seeing where the locals shop and buying the ingredients for our recipes in Chinese which we learnt on the walk there. Erica was very welcoming and friendly. The kitchen was clean and well organised.... More

We wanted to learn how to prepare the famous soup dumplings and booked a course on the first day of the golden week holidays. The Pudong location is a bit hidden but thanks to the excellent description of Erica, we found it without problems. Actually the surrounding is a construction site but once inside the building you are only surrounded... More

I really enjoyed the cooking classes in Shanghai. They were amazing. I joined the dumplings and Chinese recipes classes we made dumplings and I replied them at home as soon as I came back to Italy. As Chinese recipes we made tangyuan, suanla tang and sudongpo rou. Teachers are really Involved and care about students. They are really professional. I... More

I was looking for something special in Shanghai, an experience you can take home. First I booked the three-coloured-dumpling-course, but unfortunately I was the only one who booked it, so the course didn't take place. But I wrote with one of the staff and got into the healthy course. It was such a nice day! We have been to the... More
