The riverside walk along the Bund may be busy and crowded during the day, but with good reason - it's simply a must when in Shanghai for people-watching and getting a good feel for the city.

Enjoy the walk at the promenade. Tourists and locals enjoying the cool breeze. We took our pictures of the buildings and manicured flower boxes.. We did this in the late afternoon and as the evening crept in, we saw the different buildings lighting up. What a beautiful sight..

It is a nice place to see the beautiful and modern buildings but is best to see it at night. There are cruises that can be taken along the shores and this is the best way to see that area. You'll be amazed by the light decorations and the multi colours display. It is said that Shanghai is a place... More

We were visiting on Tomb Sweeping day. Public holiday for some. It was packed with wall to wall people as the day was as good as it gets. Very orderly and courteous people so we were able to enjoy the experience.

Unfortunately the 2 days we were there were super smoggy. Impossible to get good pictures. Looks different at night when the buildings are lite up. There are many interesting buildings to admire on the walk.

Really pretty in the evening, and also when the buildings lights start to switch on. On one side the modern skyscrapers, and on the other the historical buildings along the bund. Just a nice place to take a slow stroll, see the sunset while enjoy some icecream :p

This promenade is parallel to the bund where all the historical buildings are. Gets really crowded during holidays and peak hours, so come off peak if you need good photos. Not much of a history for this promenade as it's newly developed compared to the bund buildings
