Loved this bar - a great time but just ok drinks

Loved this bar - the band was a lot of fun. It is quite a scene. Drinks were not the best we had in Shanghai but were ok.

It's a small jazz bar that has 6 musicians that are all around 80 years old and have been playing their forever. It's a more enjoyable experience if you know the history behind it before you go. It's busy and hard to find a seat. The food is ok but you're there for the experience of history. It's in a... More

This is a great place. Such an ensemble of talents of the seniors. You can feel their passion when they perform. Should at least visit it once. We were there twice in the beginning of the year..

Went here on my last night in town with a friend. There is a minimum spend of 200rmb a person with most drinks (poured strong) priced around 100rmb so essentially a two drink minimum. Absolutely worth every penny. Service was impeccable, the jazz delightful and the atmosphere transported me to the 1920s. Don't expect to be able to order dessert... More

IF you go to Shanghai you can't miss these fantastic musicians in a legendary palce and building! The hotel building is so beatiful. Already in the entré you se a spectucalor room, telling you about the historia of the place. Since It was bult all important people in the world visiting Shanghai have visited this place!

As guests of the hotel we popped in late in the night and found it an excellent way of spending a couple of hours. The music is live, sort of, and the venue is excellent. If you want real jazz then look elsewhere but if you want a nice relaxed atmosphere whilst having a drink then it's great.

Save your money and time. These old guys are literally falling asleep in front of you. Expensive at 400 Chinese dollars minimum a person. Out of tune band of old gentlemen.

This is my 4th time to this place. Band was awesome, it was fun watching them play and listening to them. The minimum price of rmb200 per person was bad. The classical ambience was nice

I have been here a few times. The first time the cocktails were so worth it. But recently it was only ok. I love the Signature cocktails, and if you are in mood for some bar food - they have the best popcorn chicken!!! Panda cocktail is also a kicker. I like the fact that they try to recreate the... Staying in The Bund

Neighbourhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
