it was cool to see some of the ancient architecture like this still standing and being preserved. This was one of the reasons we came to china was to see structures like this. The tower was cool, wish we could have went up inside it.

Longhua Temple, Shanghai is a beautiful temple off the beaten track in Shanghai, there are several building housing temples of worship, it is easily accessible from metro lines 11 and 12, the entrance fee is 10 Yuen this also gets you a pack of incense located on the right just after the entrance, place your ticket in the box beside the incense. Local people guided us to light our incense and bow towards north, east, south and west, an amazing experience with local worshipers. As this is a place of worship for local people, please respect them and the monks while there. You can take photographs anywhere inside, there are a few shops selling souvenirs, there are toilets located on the left hand side. You can buy local food from the shop located on the right half way up. The Longhua Martyrs’ Cemetery is located beside the Temple it’s free to enter and worth a visit.

This ancient Pagota has been rebuilt several times but retains the design of the original
The tower or Pagoda is seven stories tall. We were in Longhua Cemetery when we saw it above the tree blossoms, What a sight!!!!!
Because of safety, the public is not allowed to go inside.
