if you must experience local clothing market, drop by and walk around. it is easy to find as it is connected to subway station but frankly i found nothing interested. fake good sellers do their very best to get your attention and simply ignore and carry on walking.

Take the subway line 12, and get off at Tiantong Road stop. The market literally starts at the exit from the subway. You will see the market sign as you come up the escalator from the subway platform, you can't miss it. This is the best way to get here as taxis are difficult and depending on where you are... More

From the minute you enter this market you will be approached by touts enticing you to their stalls. Ignore them and wander on your own. Use the central escalators as an anchor point as it is easy to get lost down the many corridors. Aim for the higher floors which seemed more able to provide Western sizes. If your feet... More

If you wanna experience life in Shanghai like a local, this is probably where to go in terms of shopping. Qipu Lu literally means cheap street, and that's exactly what it is. There are lots, and loooots of shops along the street in the several malls along the road. I found it to be too overwhelming and overcrowded. The styles... More

I spent half a day walking through the various malls that are located on Qipu Road "Wholesale Market" district. The prices are far from being wholesale prices! As a matter of a fact, most of the items they sell are not only outdated fashion, but also more expensive than similar products found at any outlet mall in the US or... More

Huge shop with clothes and accessories. Sellers with non-Chinese traded very poorly. However, you can come just before closing when many sellers arrange a sale at extremely low prices. But there's nothing we almost did not find for themselves besides a small handbag. But on the top floor has a great food court with a variety of Chinese Dishes for... More

Great place to hunt for a bargain if you know what you are doing. If you are not with a local, be sure to dress down and bring a backpack to carry all the goodies. Of course, be aware of your surroundings as during busy days, there are more than a fair share of pick-pocketers around so I suggest carrying... More

Most stuff to shop at the basement. Beware of your personal belongings here as I lost my phone here (got pickpocketed), even if there are cctvs here, please be careful with the people around you. The senior security guards here were pretty helpful to my case. They close before 6pm. Luggage, ladies' pants, and pretty cool-looking shirts available. One can... More

Gigantic market that sells EVERYTHING! Save all your shopping for here and barter prices down. Clothing, tailors, bags, luggage, shoes, artefacts, souvenirs, great prices. Our local tour guide took us here as a favour to get some 'brand name' handbags and she delivered. Best prices and huge market - you'll definitely get want you're looking for here...and more!!
