This is a fine park for hiking or bicycling. Lots to see, nice blacktopped trails, much wildlife - armadillos, gators (depending on the temperature) and more.

We hiked the Catman Trail. Entire trail was paved. Trail wide enough for bikers and hikers. Resting benches along trail. Bathrooms about 2 miles in. Nice lake views. Interesting plants and insects including a pink grasshopper. Not a challenging hike.

Well maintained. Great to jog and walk. Well marked. All asphalt, so good for bikes. I ran here every morning.

My family of four had a great time exploring the different trails. We saw 2 snakes and several alligators (they're fenced off). The trails are a blast--mostly paved but some wooden bridges to cross. Beautiful scenery. We would definitely do this again.

Walked here rather than renting a bike. Beautiful nature walk but be sure to bring plenty of water. It was only 80 degrees on the morning we walked and maybe because of the vegetation and black pavement, it got quite hot. Cycling would be better...More

Great bike paths! Beautiful and quiet spot to unwind. Looks to have nice camping too. Saw alligators, birds, rabbits. You can ride for hours. The beach is accessible from part of the Gulf Shores State park.

My wife and I love the Branyon Trail because its right near the beach with trails of various lengths for a good work out, either running or cycling.

Today is day one of our week - we rented bikes from Infinity again and hit the trails. They have added some new paths making it even better. Rented bikes for a week so we will try to cover all of the trails!

How big is the danger from snakes and alligators that I see photos of? Is it something I can push my kids on a stroller ride through or let my toddler walk around as long as I keep close?
