This museum offered everything you could want in a history museum and was definitely much better than what I saw at Fort Conde. Worth a visit. Wish the Phoenix Fire Museum was open on weekends.

I'm so glad my sister suggested going to this museum. I learned so much new information about my birth-town. The museum is beautiful; has a beautiful layout. You won't be able to see everything in 2 hours; give yourself a half day to see it....More

The museum is very interesting with a collection of dollhouses and antique transportation. We took our young son for a visit and he learned many things. It is spacious and cool - a great escape from the summer heat. Check their website for free days.

We had a great time here. Great overview of Mobile's history, and the ice age exhibit was cool! Definitely suggest this spot to anyone who wants to learn about the city.

Beautiful building with lots of historical and interesting information. Some very old, some relatively old, and some more current which makes it more interesting. One room has copies of old homes here in Mobile. Upstairs they usually have a presentation of subjects like...India, Titanic, etc....More
