Mobile Bay is the second largest estuary in North America. Lots of wildlife and game. It is great for boating and fishing. This place is steeped in history even before the Spaniards sailed into the bay in 1519.

Crossing the Mobile Bay is an experience in and of itself. To get across, you must drive on the causeway and then go through a tunnel. As you cross the causeway, you can not only see the water, but the Mobile skyline....which includes the Battleship...More

Traffic was a mess coming back home from the Labor Day weekend so got to enjoy the Bay view one more time. Love this area. Stopped and took in the sites before heading on to Gulf Shores.

I would definitely recommend kayaking or boat tour in the bay. This area of south Alabama is fantastic. The amount of natural beauty is astounding. Lots of water foul and birds.

Mobile bay was a nice place to visit and had good choices of activities to do. The drive between gulf shores and mobile bay wasn't bad at all. From mobile bay we headed out to Mississippi and again it wasn't a bad drive.

Just by driving along the bay you know you are going to enjoy your visit to the Mobile area. The scenery is breathtaking and the road is easy to drive.

The most dog friendly beach is on dauphin island. The bay is huge so can't say all of bay will accommodate your pooch. If you stay in Mobile the Battle House Hotel is dog friendly and is located close to all attractions... More
