At Mobile’s Battleship Memorial Park, you don’t have to look very far to find heroes. From the Battleship USS ALABAMA to the Submarine USS DRUM and over 25 aircraft, the spirit of military pride is alive and well.Aboard the battleship you will be able to explore 12 decks. Among those, you can climb inside gun turrets, get locked in the Brig, man a 12mm gun and much more. Also at the park, you will be able to go below and explore inside the oldest Submarine on display, Submarine USS DRUM. In the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion as well as in the park, you will be able to view many rare and historic aircraft. A few in our collection include: A-12 Blackbird Spy Plane, OS2U Kingfisher, F-86L Sabre Jet, B-52 Bomber, just to name a few. While in the pavilion, don’t forget to take a ride on the Flight Simulator and experience flight without ever leaving the ground. It’s an unforgettable experience for the entire family. We spent a couple of hours touring the USS Alabama battleship as well as the USS Drum submarine. Both were very interesting and there was a lot to explore. Nice for the kids to see what the sailors experienced during WWII. there was also a pavilion that had many planes and helicopters you could see up close and personal. Great... More

As we drove past the USS Alabama, located in scenic Mobile Bay, I teared up as I thought of the thousands of brave men and women who made this "gray lady" their home during World War 2. The huge guns protruding off the deck of ship looked so daunting as I imagined the power of this fighting machine. Please stop... More

Self Guided and fun, fun, fun. Had no idea what a battleship was like and this was so educational and helpful for what my 5th grader is learning in history. You won't be bored and you will go away feeling proud to be an American!!! Amazing what our men in the armed services do for us.

The ship is the best part , you will need all day to see it all plenty of hand on stuff and you get all the way down in the bowels of the ship. aka engine room. I suggest you go early save your ticket for parking and to get in. Leave for lunch, 5 mim to the east of... More

We went on a nice sunny day so were able to wander outside & in. Since most of this attraction is inside I wouldn't let bad weather stop you from going. For us being a little older it was very strenuous with lots of narrow & steep metal stairs to negotiate but we just took our time while keeping at... More

From the time you enter the Battleship or the Submarine, you can imagine yourself being there in the middle of the action. The organization and logistics of the ships is amazing. Plan on spending a couple hours there...you will not be dissappointed.

The self-guided tour we took of the USS Alabama was very interesting! You can walk through the entire ship and it feels like you were there! Definitely take your camera! There is also a museum next door with lots of old planes and displays! Worth the time and money!! You can be outside and also inside in case of rain.... More

We stopped by after the Christening of the USS Tulsa. The Alabama was a well kept ship. It was $36 for the 3 of us to tour. We did not do any of the buildings or the Drum, which was included in the price, we didn't have time. As others have stated, there are 3 tours by color. The App... More

Lots to do and see... touch and explore. Plan to stay at least 2 hours if not more because there is so much to see between the ship, the sub and the airplanes and grounds.
