I have been here many times. The place has changed, but the old Malaysian Portugese settlement houses, and heritage can still be seen. You can also savour 'old Portugese dishes' at the restaurants nearby. Good visit, delicious food.

All the restaurants are now in a row with shared seating in the car park at the front but...the food is till to die for... More

The Portuguese Square is near the sea-side of the Straits of Malacca. I is not along Ujong Pasir as Ujong Pasir is the Main Road. You need to travel another half km. into a small road which is often called "Portuguese Settlement", A sign is placed at the entrance of the Main Ujong Pasir Road to help tourists to access.... I was disappointed to come to the Portuguese settlement. The name promised a lot, especially when you see the other historical places of Malacca. But nothing worth seeing there.

The Portuguese Square is where the present Portuguese people of Malacca is living. One of the oldest Portuguese House made out of wood is still maintained by the Government of Malacca.
