Old Portuguese fort. Quite out of the way, and really difficult to get to. Make sure the cab doesn't disappear on you as you could be left stranded. Not real means of being able to walk to other destinations either.

Generally circular-shaped with just a small ground area inside where there are about five or six cannons pointing outward on the rampart (that goes around inside), there's just "not much at all" to say about this fort, and the view from the fort (it sits...More

We appreciated the surrounding lush greenery and the delightful broad views from the fort. It's simpler and far less crowded than A Famosa across town. There were plenty of active monkeys to see and a sense of tropical calm. We also really enjoyed the delicious fresh...More

This place is a small fort built by the Portuguese while in Melaka a few hundred years ago. Actually the fort is a small one up on a hill. Nothing special when you climbed up there, and the place is quite neglected.

It is about a 50 minute walk from the town centre down roads with no paths. When you get there you wonder why you bothered. My advice-don't.

Nice historical place but it is really high, not safe for children and elderly people to use the stairs. Stairs have large cracks, high steps and muddy. Good spot to take pictures with the cannons. Be careful of ants at the stairs.

Difficult to reach from town centre and certainly not worth a special trip. Entrance is free. Views from the top are obscured by trees.
