We went to a Sunday mass here. It was hot!! They have fans and are trying to get money to pay for AC, which is needed. The service was comfortable as in English (the one that we went to) and universal for Catholics.

Impressive, awesome structure. I recommend viewing it at night when its facade is subtly illuminated in a glow of faint blue.
A magnificient architecture and stands up beautifully with neon lights effect at night. A view of the St Francis Xavier Church from the river side is just fabulous. Picturesque and beautiful architecture heritage of Melaka.
Luckily an early morning service was just finishing when I took the chance to enter. A peaceful place as always with some decent stained glass decor and a fresh, clean feel. Watch out where you park though if you are driving ( see pic )...More
One of my favorite places during my Mayasia trip has to be Melaka, an old Dutch Port that houses the original resting place of St Francis Xavier.
This church was being renovated and closed when I went. So just took some pictures from outside.
The church is being renovated, lots of painting going on to restore it to a massive white church! From the outside it is a near building. Would have liked to see the inside though! As you can see from the photo - it is half...More
