This is the oldest Hindu temple in the country. Built in 1781, this temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha who is revered for his wisdom. Dutch influence can be seen in the architecture of the temple. A small rectangular shaped temple, it is worth a visit.

This temple is on the same street as the Chinese Cheng Hoong Teng temple and the Kampung Kling mosque. It is easy to spot the temple with its decorated yellow walls. It’s a small temple with fewer colors than other Hindu temples that I saw before. It is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. We only saw the outside and took a... More

The temple is very small and beautiful. Its easy to find if you have a map, and its close to the mosque if you struggle to find it. Its worth going to see while walking around Melaka.

This temple is not as large, exotic or colourful as many Hindu temples, but it's old, has a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere and is a place for Hindus more than curious tourists. We did prayers there and that was fine; it's what it's there for.

Situated along the street where all 3 main places of worship of Hindus, Chinese and Muslims are situated. These places have stood the test of time and reminds the current generation how the community was living together then.

Annually, the customary prayers and activities is done. During the celebration season, one could observe the old practices of the local communities. Must not miss to view this place.

No one is allowed to enter the temple except members. Our tour guide says that they prostrate when they worship. And this interests me.
