The Hindu deity Vinoyagar, recognizable by the elephant head, is also known as Ganesg. This temple’s colorful exterior is at odds with its gloomy interior.

Old and small temple in the religious street of Chinatown. Functional architecture. Nothing spectacular, but peaceful and lively. The opening hours on the board outside are fluctuating. The inside is vibrating of long religious practice. Nice statues of deities in the alcoves.

This temple is open in the morning, closing at 11:30 a.m. and then reopening again after 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. -- if my memory serves me. When I went, there were a few priests or attendants there, another couple visiting, but that was about...More

Sri Pogyatha Vinoyagar Moorthi Temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Malaysia having been built in 1781. It's facade is more restrained than many temples and it's opening hours appear to be restricted to the mornings.
