Very clean and neat beach. Water was not muddy. Only due to parking issue you have to park your vehicle away from beach. Best beach which I have seen during Goa trip

I loved this beach. It was amazing. Not the blue clear seas promised it had every sandy water but was very clean. The best thing about this place was the clean beach after visiting the beaches of north Goa that were absolutely filthy, full of rubbish and drunks this beach was the complete opposite. Beautiful white sand, cleaners on the beach. It looked beautiful with palm trees swaying and was very quiet in April. Lots of choices for shacks and sun beds. I can’t wait to visit again.

This is a very beautiful sandy beach with romantic sun sets. The beach is surrounded with many hotels, you can just choose what is suitable for you. There is a best Ayurveda massage Center placed at Flavia Paradise, near Samson´s kiosk on Palolem beach. The masseur Nawab and his wife Afsana, they both are really very good masseurs who have experience of 15 years. There is a big advert on the beach about their massage centre. I really recommend to get an Ayurveda massage from them. They do full body massage, deep tissue massage, stone massage, facial and back massage, also foot massage. I very much enjoyed their deep tissue massage and they have better price than other places have in Palolem. If you have back or hip pain, Nawab and Afsana truly help you to get better.
To swim in the Ocean was quite safe, especially if you go behind the waves. I swam this way parallel to the beach. I checked the tide timetable via internet and found the best time to swim. Be careful when the low tide starts, because then you can feel how the sea starts to pull you towards open ocean.

During my recent trip, I stayed in North Goa and visited almost all the beaches of North Goa like Anjuna, Calangute, Baga, Vagator, Aguada & Sinquerim and undoubtedly Palolem was the best. I had to travel like 80kms (one way) to reach Palolem, but it was sorta worth it.
It is certainly not the best beach I've ever seen, but it was way better than those overcrowded & dirty North Goa beaches like Baga and Calangute. If you are coming by a car, then finding a parking space is a bit of a problem. Other than that, it is good.

A very commercial beach with typical crowds, lack of parking and cheating boat wallas. It was super waste of time to visit this place, as all the boat wallas are going to rob you - despite the fact that we were using less of their of their services and so forth.
The beach itself did not seem enticing to swim in. It was a short trip and instead we moved to Galgibaga beach to view the sunset. More on that beach in a different review.

One of the best beaches, you can wade out quite a way without being out of your depth. Restaurants on the beach, lots of choice. Shops great, you don't get badgered about going in the shops like some resorts.

The beach is very beautiful and clean. There are many restaurants with good food.
The city, on the other hand, is dirty. There is garbage and cow sh..t everywhere. Local people have an unpleasant and incomprehensible habit: Every morning and evening, they collect garbage in a pile and then burn it. The disgusting stench of a burning landfill spreads through the city for several hours a day.

Hi, I've heard a lot about the fact, that most of the beaches in GOA are extremely dirty, with broken glass and litter everywhere, as people drink heavily there and its not safe also.
That bad opinions impacted seriously GOA in terms of tourists numbers (both domestic! And international), which declined seriously.
BUT in 2019 - at the end, special agency started to work and maintain clearance of beaches in order to improve GOA picture and react on serious tourists drop. (Karnataka Commercial and Industrial Pvt Ltd)
SO - WHAT is the situation in GOA now? Can you guys, who visited that part of India in Dec 2019, Jan, Feb 2020 tell me and share your experience?
I know its India, no doubt, but is it really so dirty as even official agencies admit it as real problem?

Please can you advise on the sea conditions at Palolem Beach. We have previously been to Baga and Candolim and the waves and current were so bad we were unable to swim. It was too dangerous. We like swimming. Please can anybody advise. Thanks in advance

We are currently here and have been able to swim everyday. The beach has professional lifeguards and you have shallow water as you walk in... it's a great swimming beach. That's why I come here.

Not any that I spotted, but there are lots of shacks around and u can visit any and use their washroom, but they expect u to order something. The one I visited was called Sameer Shack, the guy even gave me a towel when I asked.

I and my wife are visiting goa from 6th to 14th October and ur property looks impressive as we want to stay at palolem beach. Before I book, I wanted to confirm if a few beach shacks, restaurants etc will be open as the season would have still not peaked off? Also would the boats to butterfly beach be available at that time? Would it be possible to take late night walks on the beach or willl it get too dark and deserted?
