Amazing beauty from atop the hill before coming down to the real beach. A totally non commercial beach with natural rocks and beauty. There is a small lagoon where one can rent a kayak for two hundred a person. The lagoon is not more than 4 ft deep at the deepest point. Be aware since there are many people who are there for the heck of it, and don't care if their actions are hurting other people while trying to kayak.

The directions to this place are a bit confusing - and we took the route directly to the hilltop where one can use about 110+ stairs to climb down to the beach. So, when coming from Varca or Cabo De Rama fort, the roads becomes very narrow and there a crossing that shows Cola Beach sign (we did not take that, as that requires one to get fleeced by the jeep wallas) and instead mapped Cola Beach Road and reached a spot in the middle of the road, where there is a perpendicular rocky road towards Cola Beach. Don't worry the road is a little bumpy - but going slow will get to the spot. It is about 600 mtrs from the road to the Cola Beach, and jut follow the path. Try using a large wheel based vehicle or SUV.

We sat for at least 4 hrs at the Blue Lagoon restaurant and ordered many different items to eat and drink and the quality was great. Avoid ordering cold coffee, as they are not aware how to make that - rest all tandoori and fried items were good.

There are some cottages available for rental stay as well and the location seems awesome. Try those as well...

The cove is gorgeous. There are three hotels - dwarka (expensive, rich, no strangers allowed in the restaurant), solneca (great rooms, medium food) and blue lagoon resort - nice rooms, chic food and service, caring staff.
Booked directly, we were given a discount and made a cheap airport transfer.
Lived like paradise, perfect beach without cows and dogs not aggressive.
Dogs can bark at night, all in a rustic way.
The sea is complicated - rocks. But there are no waves in three rows. The sand is perfectly fine, clean.
The road to the site is scary. Only an SUV will drive, a regular car on rocks like this is pathetic to kill. There are no shops, you can ask the blue lagoon to order something from the agon. Agonda - 30 minutes by taxi, great shopping and plenty of restaurants. But the blue lagoons are beautifully fed, there's no better way, the fish are great and the food is delicious.
For a honeymoon, the perfect place, just relaxing is super good too. Introvert corner.
Local communication like areel and stuff doesn't work at all, jungle around. Just the wi fi hotel.
The jungle is slowly being cut down, hotels are being built - while there is still peace and beauty I advise you to visit.

We had a tuk tuk drives us to the steps which in itself was an experience as the road is very dusty and uneven. The steps down to beach are steep but solid, wear trainers rather than flip flops.
Beach was incredible so clean and breathtaking. We were lucky as tide was out so we could swim. There was a small lagoon where people were kayaking. At the bottom of the steps is a small cafe food was good and not expensive and they have toilet which they charge 10 rupees to use.
There are 2 resorts offering sea view cottages or tents to rent which looked very inviting.
We were there for 3 hours which was plenty to enjoy this stunning beach.

This place needs a lot of work. The steps leading down to the shacks are dangerous and there is little sign this is going to change. The steps into the beach are now mended but still precarious. There is no hot water for guests which was disappointing after yoga sessions. Guys mend the stairs, make your guests and staff safe and above all allow your guests the joy of a hot shower.

That said. The staff are so sweet, kind and gentle. The food is so delicious and simple but the drinks are limited. Just water or tea or coffee. No sodas and no beer wine or spirits. I missed cold sodas alcohol I didn’t mind about. Some may.

The yoga platform was gorgeous as was Fenella Lindsell’s classes @yoga forever. The mats, bricks and bolsters were okish perhaps take your own.

The sea is like swimming in salty warm chocolate and it was so lovely to be next to and under the palm trees with the crows and nature in general. Bugs were present but manageable.

Yoga with the owner Pardeishi was amazing and authentic.

Massage with Ram was the most amazing experience. Ram cares and wants you to have the best Ayurvedic experience with beautiful healing oils he goes in deep working hard to heal your muscles and joints.

This is a great authentic wonderful place to stay with fee people to share the beach with however work needs to be done on the stairs leading down the hill and steps leading to the beach and to making sure guests have hot water.

But food, service, yoga, beach and massage are first class. With those small tweaks this place could be the paradise we all are searching for.

This beach is comes one of the best beach in south goa….

the honeymoon cottage very front of beach is wonderful view from the room….

Only one shack is available in the beach but that is good and food was really tasty, prices are quite high but there is no other choice….

If you come with the four wheeler so please keep in mind the low hight sedans are not access-able please don’t try to enter after fencing point otherwise you will stuck in between and there is only one way for incoming and outgoing which is very undulated and risky.
So park your vehicle around 800m away from beach near fence area and you can easily track the beach.

If you are going with the bikes then you can reach out till near the beach.

You can enjoy here with freshly coconut water with your fav drinks 😊.

This place is very peaceful and silent place you will enjoy only the sea waves sounds…

There is a small lake where you and your kids can swim coz the sea waves are too high and here.

While we had explored most of the regular South Goa beaches in our earlier travels, this time decided to visit Cola beach (near Palolem)

Parked our self drive rental car at a open field park near a shop where a dozen beaten down Boleros, Scorpios were parked. For a 100 Rs. per person shared fare or a Rs.500 entire vehicle fare by an experienced local driver, we get treated to a royal 2km off roading experience down a steep hill which needs to be experienced (not for the faint hearted). An excellent drive for someone who wants to test man/machine skills of their own 4x4 SUV

The journey ends down 100 steps to an exclusive beach cum lagoon, where words fail to describe it's beauty

With a chest high freshwater lagoon dotted with palm trees and lush mountains, the family enjoyed 2 hours of kayaking and full immersion in this heavenly bliss

There is a shack with a loo attached and refreshments for a spot of drinks and food down at the beach

Goa does throw up a few surprises and this was indeed a very welcoming break

Cola Beach beckons with its pristine golden sands, adorned by imposing volcanic boulders, all set against the enchanting backdrop of lush, towering forested hills. A visit to this hidden gem is an absolute must. As you stroll along Cola Beach, you'll find yourself drawn to a unique spot where a tranquil river gracefully meets the sea. This serene location is known as the Blue Lagoon, also referred to as the Emerald Lagoon, and it's the perfect place for a serene kayak adventure.

Not recommend if you are going with small kids as you have to take steps to reach beach and those steps are not smooth.

You can not go inside beach to enjoy, only enjoy its beauty and take pics. If you are a beach smimmer then go inside the beach.

There is a small lagoon where you can swim and do kayaking. We paid 500/- for a kayaking for 50mins.

We had a recommendation from people we met in Patnem that Cola Beach was a must go place to go for sunset and food.

We jumped on the Royal Enfield and headed over late afternoon.

Whether it was high expectations from what we had been told we are not sure but there were a few things they omitted to point out to us.

Firstly Cola Beach Road on Google maps looks like a circular road. When we got onto it one part of the road didn't exist. To use to the term road is a bit of poetic licence as its not only a sandy dirty track, but it's so bumpy with step hills that the motorbike struggled with people. I wouldn't have wanted to do it on a scooter with smaller wheels although others did. Cars were also trying to get to the car park above the beach blocking up the track.

When we finally arrived, covered in red dust from the track we walked down onto the beach to enjoy a swim before sunset. The beach is really small with lots of rocks above and below the water and with rough waves we decided not to go in. Our looked like one of the two restaurants was preparing for a wedding so in the end we decided to give up and head to Agonda for sunset and food.

It is a beautiful small secluded beach but its really hard work getting there (no Rickshaws would go on the track) if you don't have a bike.

And for safety I would swim bin the lagoon behind the beach as the rocks would make it quite dangerous for swimming in the sea.

We arrived by boat from Agonda which was an easy journey. The beach is unspoilt and very clean. There seemed to be 3 restaurants surrounding the beach, elevated on the rocks. We ate at a small one on the left side of the beach and it was very good and inexpensive with very nice smiling staff. Thefresh water laoon is a delight to swim in and very safe for young and old alike.
