About
Francisco is an award-winning international photographer who has created a series of fully guided private walking tours through some of North Goa’s most interesting local markets and villages. On the tours he shares simple to understand (and remember) tips to truly enhance your photography skills and really boost your confidence when taking travel photographs. Much more than just photography tours – these cultural tours of Goa provide a unique insight into Goan people and places. All of the sites we visit are engaging and interesting in their own right, so non-photographers are very welcome. In addition you don't need a fancy camera to join a walking tour; point-and-shoot cameras and smartphones can also capture amazing photographs if you know the tricks and learn the right approach. The walking tours are a perfect mix of learning your camera's capabilities and perfecting your photography while enjoying local Goan life. Francisco also guides tours through North and South India.

Last month I was in Goa, India and was fortunate to do a 1 day photography tour with Francisco. Undoubtedly, he is an insanely talented photographer, but what really stood out for me was how genuine and effortless was his connect with the locals. His standout tip to me- ‘taking a quality portrait/street shot and moving on to the next is easy, but its when you pause to talk to your subjects, hear their amazing life stories, show them the pic you clicked, share a chai/meal with them and express your gratitude, is when you graduate to become a true-blue portrait and street photographer’. Francisco- it was an absolute pleasure and I am amazed how much I learnt in just a day! Your insights around composition, settings, light angles etc were invaluable. And here’s hoping I can join you on one of your Benares photo tours some day.

We can honestly say our full day photography tour with Francisco was one of the best tours we’ve ever taken. Cisco met us promptly and asked us what we wanted from our photography and soon grasped our photography capabilities with Garth on his DSLR and Phil on his iPhone. From the moment we started to the end of the day Cisco constantly gave great advice on how to improve our technical photography skills with lots of practical tips. We loved the street portrait photography aspect of the day, Cisco taught us how to approach people for their photo and how best to photograph them in their surroundings. We didn’t want a sugar-coated tour of Goa, we wanted to see real life, the tour around the markets gave us just that. It’s a well organised photography tour of Goa, even if you’re not into photography it would make a great day out. Thanks Cisco and for all the extra tips for eating out and accommodation at the beaches :)

After last years fabulous day with Cisco, we decided that he needed to spend a weekend with us!
Udaipur was the destination, and what fun we had!!
Cisco reminded us how to use our cameras, and we got some great shots.
We cannot praise him highly enough!!!

My husband and I spent the day with Cisco on his one day photography walking tour and had a fantastic time. He a great guide, giving tips on places to visit eat etc and a great photographer. I had become lazy with the auto options on my camera but Cisco got me away from that back onto manual in easy to understand steps and my photos started instantly improving. I was so pleased with my collection at the end of the day. My husband isn’t a photographer and was along for the ride really but Cisco also made sure he had a go and he was really pleased with the results too. Cisco can adapt to any level of photographic knowledge, he has professional photographers tour with him as well as hobby photographers with some knowledge like me or people with no knowledge at all. So whatever your level, this tour will be of benefit. Even the most accomplished photographers would benefit from Cisco’s tips on where to go and when, to get the best shots. It’s a really well organised day, planned around the activity and light at certain times and whether you like portrait, landscape, nature, there will be something for everyone. You will also get to meet lots of locals and chat with people you just wouldn’t normally meet unless you lived here. This is so much more than a photography tour and I can’t recommend it enough to both photographers and non photographers, everybody will be taking great shots by the end of the tour.

Make this the first thing you do when you arrive in Goa and it will make such a difference to the rest of your time in Goa. Thank you Cisco it was the highlight of our trip, I wish I could do it all again, hoping maybe at some point I will be lucky enough to get the chance.

Even if you don’t have a fancy camera, do this if only to spend a day with an incredibly lovely person. My wife, myself and our 2 boys got to places we’d never get to or feel comfortable being in. We were taken on a guided attack of the senses both visually and culturally.
My eldest wasn’t as interested in photography until this trip. We were taught how to get the most out of any camera but maybe more importantly we learnt how to find a photo and then talk with locals to make them Comfortable.
I could go on and on. On return, we will do it it all again. A surprise hit for all of us that has left a very special memory and some incredible photos!!
Thankyou Francisco.xxx
Ps enclosed examples were just odd ones from my iPhone. I will try and post some others which are far more indicative of where he will guide you.

Or in this case, switch off the lounging on a sunbed and go and spend some time in and around Mapusa market learning how to use your camera. Cisco could not be more friendly, energetic and genuinely in love with what he does, his teaching is so natural and intuitive that any fear of looking and feeling like a dud soon goes away. His connection with the people around him in Goa is also effortless and genuine, and that warmth goes so far with others.

I loved the session, and walked away feeling way more competent than I ever could have imagined, even continuing to practise later in Mumbai, even if I was Sally Slowboat getting my settings right - for me, feeling it was all an opportunity to practise took the pressure off.

I can only imagine what a month of exploring India and photographing with Cisco can bring to people, but I imagine that for those who experience it it must be hugely rewarding, as even the 3hrs I spent was something I won't forget. Thank you!

Having never been to India before, we decided to join Cisco on his all day tour of N.Goa. A very varied day, from markets to fishing villages, beaches to forts and finishing at the fishing port. Cisco is very knowledgable and bought our day to life. Visiting the camp was a highlight and to see the children’s faces when they saw their picture come to life was humbling. Thank you, and hope the twins got to the birthday party.

I cannot praise the day we spent with Cisco highly enough!
Not only is his company good, he is warm and friendly, and he was happy to answer all on my random questions.
From almost the start of the day he encouraged me to try the manual mode on my camera, and gave me the confidence to continue on it all day!
He was quick with praise when we had taken a good picture, and suggested how to make the “less good” ones better.
If you think that you do not have the ‘eye’ or skill to take great photos you’ll be surprised by the end of the session just what you’ve created with a little encouragement and help.
Even if you just have an iPhone with you, he will help with composition and also the patience required to get a great picture.
I cannot say how much we enjoyed his company, and would not hesitate to go on one of his longer trips; in fact I might even be tempted to visit India again soon just to go on one!!

I enjoyed our laughs and learning the names of all the plants and flowers that we came across too! It would be fantastic if you could join me on one of my 16 day tours of India some day :0). My best wishes to you both - Cisco
