I went with my family and friends to this shack at Christmas and unfortunately paid 10 000Rs extra by mistake. The manager recounted the money, didn't say anything and kept the excess amount. The next day when I went back, he refused to acknowledge it. I strongly advise you to stay away from this place.

Great shack, like they used to be in earlier days in Goa. Nice chilled english music to suit the ambience, excellent food and drinks and friendly service. Less crowded since it is not very easily accessible from the main road.

We walked down Chapel Street to reach Calangute beach and this shack was at the end of the path.
We were welcomed as soon as we reached the sunbeds and made to feel special. The sunbeds are a bit antiquated but we got extra mattresses to make them comfy. The beer is cold and cheap, the excellent menu has a lot of choice and the curries are great, I think over the 7 days we ate different meals every day. We spent every day relaxing, swimming and drinking. If you want a quiet shack, this is the one. Great stuff.

the food is very good, prepared by William, and Sam and Abdul, nothing is too much trouble. The Taka Dal is fantastic and hot [spicey]. My only gripe is the beer price at 150 rupees, is much to high, most shacks110 -120 tops
Great massage by Anusha, also does tattoos, finger, and toe nail service, and eyebrow threading has a bit of jewellery/clothes.Can knit/sew. Great person, Husband Wittle, all rounder worker

it was just an average shack and is definitely not a good option for pure vegetarians. However their service was quick

Egg curry very good. Should give you the option of three eggs. The cardamom flavor and curry was excellent. On the way out, we observed an employee filling branded water bottles with tap water - cannot say they were serving it as bottled, but it was alarming so see this.

We stayed nearby for a month and ate at Pine Tree shack almost every single day.
The staff are always courteous and helpful and friendly, and it was nice to get to know them during our stay.
The scene here was very chill, as it was not quite yet the season. Very relaxing place to hang out.
The food was AMAZING. I was a professional chef in the USA for many years, and for me it's very easy to tell when someone cares about the quality of the food they're cooking. The kitchen at Pine Tree is consistently putting out excellent food.
We tried all the egg dishes and all the curries and goan dishes and dals and some seafood, and everything was fantastic. We ate the egg biryani once, and then ordered it again almost every day for a whole month. Now all other biryanis will have to live up to the standard set by Pine Tree shack's version of this dish.

A rough sea can tire you out easy-peasy. To the rescue, come pomfret & chicken drumsticks, done superbly by the boys at the Pine Tree Shack, a short walk from the Hyatt Place, Candolim.
