Definitely a hidden gem - you would need to know someone local, to tell you about this church. Truth be told, you must visit and walk around Old Goa to really get a feel of what it represents.

There is not too much worth seeing but if you have not been before do spend a day to see the local sights, best by hiring a car and driver. See this Church as part of your day tour.

Big and ornate, with relics of St Francis Xavier and lots of other interesting exhibits. Goa is such a historical state, plenty to learn and enjoy.

The Church of St. John the Baptist is one of the older churches in Benaulim and is well maintained and though not open most of the time it is worth visiting when it does open during service times.

Its a Portuguese style church located between Benaulim and Colva. There is a bus stop near by which has every 5 minutes bus to Margao. The church was closed for entrance in the evening but it has beautiful facade and surroundings are very clean.

One of the early churches in Goa with history attached. The maintenance of the church should be handled better. It is certainly not on Velsao road. The chapel on Benaulim Monte is nearby but entry is restricted to a certain time to both church and chapel.

This is very old church of Benaulim, Goa.It is most famous church in South Goa. It was built in 1966 near shore and shifted to this location. It was built by Jesuits in Colva.
