You must visit this church else your tour would be incomplete. The church is a great experience and the carvings and designs inside are excellent.

This was a beautiful modern white church. I was upset to learn that all the locals had to pay a fixed sum to help build this. The locals are very poor. Take gifts for them, they are so nice and really appreciate what you give.

The Church of St. John the Baptist is one of the older churches in Benaulim and is well maintained and though not open most of the time it is worth visiting when it does open during service times.

Drive by church, having a front cover that damages the view of the architecture of Church of St. John the Baptist. The art of Rococo is visible in the pulpit.

Beautiful church set in the Portuguese area of Goa. The church was about to close when we arrived but they still allowed us to enter and have a look around.

Located in the benaulim colva area an excellent church to visit.
Grand white majestic front of three floor with five altars inside. A huge beautifully preserved ancient church.
To the best of my recollection they have an English language service communion. This is slightly off the main road. To reach here you should go to to the colva madgaon beach road go from the colva circle towards madgaon go past our lady of merces church on your left and take a right turn just before Hotel colva plaza (you will a sign board pointing to ITC guest house villa marchon). Spend a few minutes in absolute silence in the church open from 7 am to 7 pm all days of the week. However I found the 3 kings church situated on a hill with grand view of sea better - you can drive all the way up the hill right to the gate of the church.

Definitely a hidden gem - you would need to know someone local, to tell you about this church. Truth be told, you must visit and walk around Old Goa to really get a feel of what it represents.
