I took a day trip to the falls while on vacation in Lookout Mountain. Very easy, short walk. They were beautiful! The bluff around the falls was gorgeous. Mother Nature at her finest!

Was on Lookout Mountain for the day and visited Desoto Falls. It was a very short walk from the parking lot to the breath taking beauty of the falls. The area was well maintained and clean. Great stop off if you are in the area.

If you love waterfalls, amazing natural landscapes, canyons, and breathtaking views, this is the place to go. There are smaller falls that flow into a large fall that drops 100 feet into a canyon. It is amazing to see the size of this waterfall and...More

When the area is not in drought, the falls are beautiful. During different festivals there are boat rides and in the fall it is beautiful. There are picnic areas and in the summer you can swim.

Very well maintained. Glad we had such a beautiful place to visit in Alabama. There were guides there to answer any questions that you might have.

Very serene and incredibly beautiful. The fall colors just made it that much more beautiful. The final fall is a 104ft drop and it can make you feel a little light headed when you're standing next to the rail. Watch small children VERY CLOSELY!! It...More

We saw many people with pets. I believe if pets are on a leash, there is no problem. I didn't see anywhere that said no pets were allowed. Hope this helps.
