Can camp overnight, go up for day or just walk the trails. Well used by all in the city. Special events, especially the Fall Craft Festival in Sept, are great--never disappoints

Monte Sano's trails are among the region's best. The Southern Plateau Loop (White Trail) is the perfect length and allows groups or couples with varying degrees of fitness to enjoy the experience together.

FYI $5/person for park admittance. A moderate 2.3 mile trail with some decent elevation changes and sometimes precarious footing due to the many rocks. Several trail changes to make the loop, but every intersection is very clearly marked - one of the best marked trails...More

Great views of the North Alabama mountains. A lot of hiking trails. Rustic CCC built cabins and a impressive Lodge. Young man an gate seemed apologetic that he was charging a fee to enter.

We visit several times and every time, have a blast. My favorite place in Huntsville and you can't beat the views, especially in fall. I've rented a cabin and camped in a tent and both times, fabulous. Can't wait to be back!

We stayed in the campground for 5 nights in this really nice state park. Large level sites, clean bath/shower facilities, quiet. Lots of mature trees that would make for a shaded campground in the summer. No leaves out when we were there in early April....More

We stayed in the oldest cabins on the mountain built by the CCC. I am extremely picky and the bathroom was small but clean and adequate. The room was so cute. Beds comfy - we have to sleep in different beds due to my husband's...More
