Enjoyed the overall atmosphere of this place. Live animals, lots of decorations, and a great little live band playing Christmas songs. One of my favorite things was the blacksmith live demonstration, where several products were fabricated right in front of our eyes.

5-9pm they have Santa's Village here. It is beautiful. There are lights lit everywhere. Craft ornament, cookie decorating, picture with Santa, Mrs. Claus reads great stories to kids, black smith show, & snow machine but it's really sudsy bubbles coming out. There is a maze for real young kids like 1-5. They have a hot chocolate stand. There is a... More

This is a good attraction for the whole family regardless of age. There are things for children and adults. The guides at the various stations are engaging and interesting. We all enjoyed the wood shop and the print shop. Both guides involved the whole famiy. It was very educational and fun at the same time.

The village is set around the time that Alabama achieved statehood. i.e. 1819 The people are in period clothing and perform some of tasks from that era.

The guides are what made this a great stop for us. The wood shop/cabinet shop guide was so great . We learned a lot about Alabama history from him. The printer guide was also wonderful. It's small area but has plenty of buildings to go through. We were at the village for 2 hours nearly. Most of that time was... More

Few streets with nice buildings, nothing else to do. You can sight seeing while driving, no need to actually walk to the houses

I've been to Alabama Constitution Village several times on field trips with my students. I love it. There are working demonstrations for the students to both watch and take part in to learn how things were done in the early days of Huntsville and Alabama. There is everything from a blacksmith, the old post office, a surveyor's office to an... More

Although the park is hard to find and parking is difficult to obtain in downtown Huntsville, this is a jewel of a historical park. The history of this place is well worth knowing. While most of the buildings are reproductions, they are accurately built, furnished with period pieces, and fairly well maintained. Labels and plaques in each building are clear... More

Took a group of 20 to visit this site. We made arrangements to have a catered meal in the village. Musical entertainment was provided and we were also given a tour and some demonstrations of the wood work shop and the black smith shop. Guides were great. What a neat way to spend and evening.

Arrived just after a large school group had been through he museum. The docents were very pleasant, however, we basically did the tour on our own before being given an overview. We found this site interesting. Sadly, lack of funds is allowing this special treasure to deteriorate. Hopefully someone will step forward and see that it is around for many... More
