I thought the space and rocket center was okay. I think it appeals more to kids, and of course to those who are interested in space technology. I usually rate most things based on price, and i have to say in my opinion that this was not worth the 100.00 dollars i paid for me and my family. Some love... More

One issue was with the IMAX, at times the film was a little blurry. Did not happen for the whole film but is worth noting.... More

We have been to other space exploration exhibits, which were also good . But here in Huntsville is where the real roots of space exploration and the race to the moon expanded full blown. There is an IMAX theatre that is only $2 additional to the $25 entrance fee. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that... More

My son attended Space Camp and had an awesome experience! As an added perk, we got to enjoy the museum on drop off and pick up day. What a fun museum! I highly recommend visiting on your way through Huntsville!

The inside museums are very nice with a lot to read and learn about so plan the time. Not the best for the very young who just want to run around. It has a few hands on exhibits but have a science thought behind them and are to show something. Not just "bang on". Consider this when you bring less... More

We have been here several times but not in a few years. They've added several new things that add to the experience. It's pretty expensive to get in and over-the-top expensive to eat at the cafe ($13 hamburgers, $7 drinks). Bring a picnic or leave for lunch and return, which is allowed as long as it's the same day.

Yesterday, we decided to do a bus tour. That was absolutely amazing and worth every penny! You will not be disappointed and should go! Today, we left the main museum early. It was a huge disappointment. Aside from being ridiculously overpriced ($17 for a cheesburger, fries and a drink?? Come on!) it was confusing to navigate. Lots of exhibits had... More

We really enjoyed our visit and would certainly recommend it. Having grown up in Alabama, I had never been but I really enjoyed it. There are parts of it that could use better signage especially when navigating the exhibits outside. It's very easy to spend an entire day but after 3-4 hours I had had enough.

Visited last week. Interesting, but the little things add up quickly: 1) This place is horribly expensive based on the value you get. Then, they charge you for the movie, the gift shop clothing prices are ridiculous, etc. 2) I would be happier paying so much if I could see that they are using the money to keep the museum... More

Huntsville is a marvelous weekend trip for elementary age children, with the Rocket Center being the focal point. We have taken our Grandchildren, ages 5, 6, 9, and 12. The adults had as much fun as the kids AND we all learned so much. The day just flew by.
