I go to the park about 2-3 times a week to run or walk with a friend. The park does s good job of keeping up the running trails/ paths. I enjoy the small lake and seeing others running there as well. Very safe park with many families on the weekends. You may have to park across the street at Jefferson State on the weekends since the parking is always full. A great park for all ages, clean benches for those who want to sit and read. A large field for frisbee or other small sports. Love this park

A decent place for walking the dog. We walked most of the trail and observed the rest of park in use. We found it a fine place to unwind. Most of it is near a noisy road but it wasn't too bad. Parks always seem to be by noisy roads.

The park is located in Hoover on Valleydale Road adjacent to Spain Park High School. There are swings and climbing and slides for the kids located on rubber padding. There are some swings suitable for toddlers and also some for children with special needs. There are trails for jogging and walking which are mostly level with a couple of small hills and one moderate hill. Parts of the trail are wooded, but due to the number of people using the trails you will feel safe and not isolated. There are water fountains and restrooms. Dogs are allowed. There are large open areas suitable for frisbee, kite flying or drones. There are several fast food choices nearby. Parking is free.

There’s a lot to do at the park. There are great walking/running trails that go around the park and through the woods. People were fishing, there’s a sand volleyball court, playgrounds for kids, pavilions and room to throw ball, frisbee, etc. great place to visit!

This is one of Hoover's gems. Veterans park is the location of many community events, including fundraisers, sporting events, etc. There is a playground area for children, pavilions for parties, walking track, large open area for playing ultimate frisbee or football, ball fields for soft/baseball.

It's a park. Lots of open green space and a good playground area for the littles. The traffic and parking are horrible though.

I enjoyed my lunch outdoors here on a beautiful fall day. It is located next to Jefferson State College’s Health and Sciences Building. Kids played on swings. Families played croquet and some people walked around the lake on the available trail. Benches are available in the Veterans tribute area. Tables are available under one of several pavilions.
