This is a warm and welcoming gallery with unique artwork painted, sculpted and cad on gourds and wood! Something for everyone.

Organic Vessels has some of the most unique pieces of art made from gourds. Missy Miles is such a talented artist. Beautiful art!

checked website it says open 10-4 , drove a bus full of people there, , lights on, no answer to knocking on door or door bell. No sign saying they were away or closed. we waited about 15 minutes for someone to come, but no one came. Our group was very disappointed.

I'm so sorry we missed you. I was attending marketing College in GA. in May when you came to the studio. My Father, Vernon Williams, works with me and he is also sorry he missed you. He lives in the house beside the shop and usually can see when someone comes out. If he is working in the shop in the back he sometimes does not hear the door when his equipment is running. I'm sure you do not want to hear excuses but I wanted an opportunity to invite you back to the studio . We try very hard to make every visitor feel welcome and has a unique, interesting experience thru the many stories of our creations. Again, so sorry we missed you and your group and I hope you can return. I have made a note to make sure when we are not able to be open it will be posted on social media, website and on the door.

I came to visit and see the gords which are well done and presented but the wow factor is the wood working done by the owner's dad. It is nothing short of spectacular and seems to be modestly priced as do the gords
You will be welcomed by Harry the large friendly dog. He is great and I am sure enjoys running about in the forested area behind the studio
If you are in the area or just driving thru on I-22 this is a great place to look, enjoy and probably purchase something

Tried to visit July 22, 2016 around 1:30pm. Facebook page says open M-Sun. 10-4. No sign on door or any indication/explanation of it being closed. Disappointing and definitely won't try again. Also, website on listed on TripAdvisor doesn't work.

I am beyond sorry for missing a new guest, any guest for that manner. During the end of July I was finishing a mural in Jasper AL. titled "Frames- We hang together." My parents live on the property and cover the studio when I'm working on location. I hate we did not get the opportunity to show you around. There was a break in our communication and I apologize for the inconvenience you encountered. Our website is www.gourdtime.com
We had a change shortly after setting up tripadvisor and I did not edit account as I should have.
I do hope you do make it to our neck of the woods in the future.
Have a gourd day

We stopped by on our way back from Florence, AL to Birmingham by way of I-22. Unfortunately, we missed Missy who was away working on a business promotion, but her parents were the perfect hosts. "Turnin' Vernon," her father, is a man of unique wood working skills and very happy to explain his techniques. Many of his bowls and spinning tops and other things belong in museums. Missy does amazing things with native gourds and building murals and also should be publicly displayed. I asked Vernon why he didn't try to sell his objects on-line, and he said he just does it to stay busy and out of trouble :D Do yourself a favor and visit this talented family. A little out of the way, but worth the visit. Be prepared to relax and chat . . . and buy something.
