When we visited the area last year, Dan and I decided not to pay the $3 per person to walk out on this pier. The fact that it was a cool windy day had a part in our decision. This year we decided to do...More

Longest pier in the area. Has restrooms in 2 areas, a small store, fish cleaning station. There is a charge to walk or fish from the pier but its worth every penny. Fun to watch the many people fishing. Also saw dolphins and lots of...More

Wife and i walked the pier on a brisk cold day. To our surprise we saw a bunch of dolphins chasing after all the whiting in the area. Shocked to see people fishing with how cold it was. Thank you for the veterans discount. Can't...More

This is the second Christmas we spent at Orange Beach. Last year the fishing was spectacular off the pier when we were here! This year, a big cold front move through and mostly shut the fishing down. There were a few fish, including one big...More

First for the view, but we spent as much time watching ramoras and the pelicans. One pelican on the pier was having a time rearranging his fish to swallow head-first and the seagulls were hoping they could snatch it while he tried. Gives new appreciation...More

We spent the $3 per person to wander out on the pier. It was fun to see the people fishing and check out what they were catching. We were able to see several people pull up some big fish --- one lady caught a 30lb...More

It depends on several factors. Oxygen in the water, bait, weather, tide and temperature. Usually crabbing in the park is good
