We arrived two days after Hurricane Nate and the Pier was closed for minor repairs. We did get to go on October 14 when they re-opened. Loved it...

You can not simply walk out on this pier. You must pay $3/person or $4/person for all day access. All we wanted to do was walk to the end and back for a few mins.

We got a free passes because we were camping in the Gulf State Park campground. It was nice and the view is great. I did notice the fee was $3.00 a person to sight see. Dont think it would be worth that.

The pier is open 24 hours. If you buy an armband after 7pm, it is good until the next night at 7pm. My husband and kids fished there after dark a couple of times. They really enjoyed it. The fishing permit is $9, 12 and...More

Pier was well kept, clean, no "fishy" smell. While we did not fish we watched others and took in the view. Great photo opportunities to be had. Well worth the $3 adult admission.

I don't fish, but enjoy the pier because there is always something to see. People reel in sharks, octopi, and an assortment of fish. Pelicans and other birds like to hangout when fish are being cleaned to beg for treats. The pier people are friendly...More

We always like to walk out on piers when we visit a beach area. We got some great photos of the water and beach. There were a few people fishing but the pier was clean for the most part.

Best pier I have ever been on. It was worth the 3 dollars to walk it and watch all the activity. Well kept and managed. Bathrooms were clean.

Even for sightseers this is a must see. We visit it at least once in the day and once at night every time we visit GS. There is always interesting wildlife to see - sharks, stingrays, crabs. Amazing
