My wife and I were taking a road trip through this area and decided to stop here. What a pleasant surprise! We rode a miniature train, hiked to the base of the falls, went through a neat exhibit of wild and domesticated animals, saw some restored buildings of yesteryear, and viewed the falls from the top. The views were spectacular,... More

Recently they started reserving all the sites at the park (before only half) so it's not so easy to get a spot on busy weekends. Really good energy on top of a ridge surrounded by water. Populated by black squirrels. City of Gadsden park its very inexpensive. Within the park is a train, a lion and miniature golf.

The falls are very nice. They are surprisingly very large. It seems almost wrong that you can just walk right over the gorge bridge and see these wonderful falls. That was amazing. The story behind the falls is intriguing. We saw some of the black squirrels while there! That was a first for us! We didn't visit the campground.

The falls are magnificent. The picture does not do them justice. They are massive, and the surrounding scenery of the gorge took my breath away. Alabama has a habit of under-selling its attractions and of having no hike to see them. I'm originally from Virginia where you hike an hour and a half to see some 20 foot falls and... More

We recently spent three nights in a camper. The campsites are closer than we like, and most have no grills or fire rings. Bathhouse was clean. Campground was quiet. Camping area is convenient to the falls and park. Hilly trails for walking and jogging; watch out for bicycles on these trails, if you are on foot.

This is a beautiful park that if you are in the area, you should stop by and visit. The falls are gorgeous - especially after a big rain. There is also camping, hiking, and a little train for the little ones. Definitely recommend.

Make sure it is not a dry season when you visit .If so you might be shocked too see nothing(water) falling. We took another couple had really built this place up too them.Only too be a let... More

We loved the cabin and the park has a lot for families. The falls are beautiful. They only have 2 cabins but ours was very clean and well stocked.

I have been here often throughout the year. Always fun filled day. A nice stroll through the pioneer village or a train ride to the petting zoo, where they have a lion! Of course watching the mesmerizing power of the falls and the love story with it. In the height of summer the falls do get thinned out a bit... More
