Very cool part of Alabama's history. You can walk up the mound for free. There is a fee for the small museum. The museum is new. We spent about 45 minutes here.

Really wanted to see this, but it was closed due to renovations being performed. The ladies at the Florence Tourism Center (located at the entrance to McFarland Park) Informed us that it was currently undergoing renovations.

The charge for adult admission is currently $5.00, but you can park in the parking lot and visit the indian mound for free.
