This is a great place to walk, day or night. The views and fresh air are food for the soul. In our world today, we rarely take time to really relax and enjoy our surroundings without some device in our hand or artificial sound in our ears. The trail is a great place to unplug from technology, walk with someone, have a meaningful conversation, and reflect. It is also a great place to exercise with an amazing view and wonderful surroundings. Enjoy the trail when you are in Fairhope. Your mind will enjoy the return trips stored in your memory bank.

I went on a couple jogs between the Pier and the Grand Hotel while in town. This is a wide paved walkway that extends for many miles, great for walkers (and their dogs), bikes, and running. It's right along the road, so there will be some cars whizzing by, for those who are a bit nervous of such things. But I loved it!

This is a paved walking /biking trail that runs along the Mobile Bay from the Pier to Point Clear at the Grand Hotel and beyond. From the trail you have beautiful vista of the bay, the canopy of old oak tree with hanging moss and the nice homes along the bay. There are a couple of stops along the way for a good meal, a light snack or just something to drink. In some places you can walk down to the water’s edge if you like and cool your feet in the bay. If you walk as far as the American Legion those people are always very nice and love to see a new face. There are also beverages there of all sorts and sometimes they have food. If they don’t have anything to eat you can walk across the street to Gambino’s and they always have delicious Italian dishes there. If you keep going you will eventually get to the Grand Hotel. It is a complete resort on the bay. If you decide to stay there, there is plenty to do. If you take the bay trail from there you will be behind the beautiful houses that face the bay and you will have to decide to admire the homes or the views of the bay.

We rented bikes in Fairhope and made the scenic and easy ride to The Grand Hotel in Point Clear (about 3.5 miles). Beautiful homes along the way and sidewalks available for most of the way. Trail is mostly flat, although riding back into Fairhope is a decent amount of uphill (or at least it felt that way after our cocktails at The Grand Hotel).

This is a scenic walking, biking and jogging trail that stars in Gator Alley Daphne to Weeks Bay on Scenic Hwy 98. The sidewalks are paved and there are plenty of scenic sights and parks along the way and plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. If you're ever on the eastern Mobile Bay, find a place to park and journey down the trail. Once this location is publish you'll see some nice pics later with landmarks and mile markers along the way where you'll find scenic spots for taking nice pics along the way.

This is a well maintained trail along Alabama Eastern Shore. It winds through park areas, pass beautiful homes and along the Bay. There are benches provided to sit, relax, and observe God's creations.

Along much of scenic 98 you have a choice of riding on the sidewalk, with expansion joints every five feet and illegal parked vehicles, or on the road where there is not enough room for a car to pass unless they go over the yellow line. In any kind of traffic the rider is in serious danger as numerous drivers try to pass without moving over. They don’t even slow down. It is very scenic however.

I love this trail and use it for running and biking. There is a lot of traffic along this trail so it is not a quiet trail in the woods. It does follow the eastern shore of Mobile Bay so there are places to access the water along the way. I would give it a better score but there are always vehicles parked across it, despite the fact that there are "No parking at any time" signs all along it, which forces anyone using the trail to get off into the traffic. Witnessed a wheel chair that had to get into the traffic lane the other day. Too bad the "no parking" is not enforced.

This "trail" is simply beautiful and stunning. You will see wonderful bayfront properties and many other natural sites. Give yourself plenty of time for photos as the opportunities along the trail are many!

Are there restrooms along the trail? My husband and I would like to walk it when we come there this summer
Written 18 April 2019
Yes, there are restrooms along the trail. You are not in the middle of nowhere on the trail. If you start at the pier there is one on the pier. Probably less than a mile there is a boat launch and there is one there. Just a little farther you will come up on a coffee shop then the Elks lodge and VFW(or American Legion, not sure which one it is) across from there is Gambino’s Italian restaurant. If you keep going you will come to a quick stop. Not far from there is the Grand Hotel. If you continue to walk from there the stops are farther apart so stop at the Grand if you are going to continue. I hope this helps!
