When traveling, we always look for a Corp of Engineers campground along our route. They are always some of the nicest places around. Nearly all of them could be destinations because of their scenery and layouts. Foscue really excels in this category. The sites are long and considerable space between them. A special here, is that nearly all of their sites are Full Hook-up. All the roads AND the campsites are paved. We had a nice deck, picnic table and fire pit. In touring the campground, it appeared that many of the sites were like ours. Nearly all the sites are shaded. Some are also satellite friendly.

Foscue Creek Park is one of the most attractive parks and campgrounds we've ever seen (and we've been to a BUNCH of them in the United States and overseas!).

Whether you're just looking for a place to play for the day or for a longer-term camping experience, Foscue Creek Park is a wonderful destination.

There are great hiking trails, well-kept campsites, good access to the river, and a well-built playground.

Plus, it's close enough to the friendly city of Demopolis to be convenient but far enough away to feel like you're really getting away from it all.

This Corps of Engineers park on the Black Warrior / Tombigbee waterway is a top notch place to camp, picnic, just take a walk — or sit by the river and watch the boats go by. I’m told there’s good fishing here — and the number of moored boats alongside the campsites speaks to the truth of that rumor. There are 54 campsites here. Some with full hookups, others have water and electric only. The usual federal 14 day stay limit applies here.

We stayed only an overnight here but our site was great. Long paved with gravel area in front right by the river. Had aluminum picnic table and nice fire ring, three point hoot ups with 50/30/20 service. Not crowded at all.

Foscue Creek is a Corps of Engineers facility. It is well maintained and a family, friendly environment. My family had a family reunion, the picnic pavilion was nice as well. The park was clean and I didn't have a problem with a mosquito! Great place for walking and a hiking trail and a nice bank for fishers with a boat launch access the water.

A lovely, if rather open, campground that greets and serves visitors very well.

The location of this Foscue Creek Park doesn't offer much in the way of trees so it's a bit open. That said, the grounds are beautifully maintained as are the well appointed camping sites.

There are laundry facilities but they were out of order so poor marks there.

There is also no campground wifi which was a bit surprising but somehow oddly appreciated for the extra time it gave us to go exploring the local waterways.

Boat launching facilities for those with water craft.

Overall, a peaceful place during our early December visit.

We stopped for an overnight stay while traveling through the area and stayed an extra night because it is such a lovely park. It has the largest and easiest to access sites we have seen in state parks or private campgrounds. The sites are not too close together and most have a view of the water. The hosts were very nice we had good satellite reception. We don't fish however that seems to be a main attraction for the park. We did visit Gaineswood which was very interesting.

We reserved a pavilion close to the playground for our family reunion. We had an awesome day! The pavilion was perfect for visiting and eating! Great experience which we hope to repeat!

This is Corps of Engineer campground with very large well spaced sites. The park is wooded but the sites are more in the open but as they are spaced so well you have some privacy. The staff here is very helpful and friendly and they keep the park and facilities and showers very clean. You can tell they take a lot of pride in "their" park. Sort of funny the site we got was so deep you could have parked a semi in front of our van and still not be on the park road! We were right on the water on a small inlet off the river. The park is close to town should you want to eat out or need anything. There is a train track nearby so you get some train noise but not bad.

Nice park, perfect for short/beginner hike, bringing a dog along, and even family/children (they have a playground, picnic tables, bathrooms).
I do recommend spraying any visible skin with bug spray- I was only bitten by mosquitoes on my (visible) hands.
