It was great to be able to see this old theatre in it's splendor with lots of neon, and original or at least made to look like original decor. Worth a stop in and a walk by if... read more

We went to see Henry Cho at the theatre. It was a fundraiser for Breast Cancer awareness. Henry was great. We all laughed so hard and really enjoyed it. The theater is being restored and really looked great! We look forward to the soon opening coffee shop. We also plan to get a schedule of the upcoming events so we... More

The Princess has been restored to it's past glory! Beautiful neon signs and retro flooring and decor throughout! This was a big deal for my dad and his age in the 30's...the thing to do in Decatur...Go to the picture show! and we went to plenty of movies in the 60's such as the Sound of Music! A true, original... More

This is an old movie theatre that has been converted into a performing venue. The place is small (about 700 seats) and intimate place. They have a professional series that features musical acts (folk, bluegrass, big band, etc. acts) plus a number of local activities. The place is attractive inside and you have a good view of the stage because... More

I had heard about the Princess Theatre for years before I ever had the opportunity to go to an event there. It is so neat. It will take you back to the days when theatre's were bright, shiney, fun, and magical. This is a great place to have high school senior portraits taken too.

Restored, classic movie theatre in the retro-Egyptian style. Worth a visit no matter what's going on, and if the performance is great, a real treat!
