This should not be missed!! By anyone! It is free, has lots to look at, cheap rocks, tee shirts, jewelry, etc for kids of all ages. You can spend an hour here or maybe longer if you read and talk about what you are seeing with children. They are expanding to a huge building later in 2016 or 2017.

We stopped by while killing some time in Town. My son loves science and he had a blast. It is mostly taxidermy, geology, and fossils. The lady on duty was very informative and friendly. It will only take 30 minutes or so to go through, but it's worth a stop. Also, it's free!

I traveled from Louisiana to stay with some friends in Decatur. We visited the museum during our visit. My seven-year-old son and I really enjoyed it. The displays were really cool and the staff was extremely nice.

We have been to the Cook's Museum several times when we have our grand kids. It is a great place for kids and grownups alike. There is no charge and they have lots of animal and rock displays along with insects. A great asset to Decatur.

This place has every bug and animal known to this area, if you have boys, this is definitely the place to go. Very educational and the kids actually have fun learning! Some of the animals/reptiles are also is interactive! The bonus is it is free for the entire family!

My son loves coming here. It has always been one of his favorite field trips! So many exhibits to see. And they are now building a larger facility- can't wait to see it!

Cook's Natural Science Museum maybe on the small size, but makes up for it with tons of exhibits and even live animals.

My wife and I took our 7 and 5 year old to the museum. It's a very small museum but they had a fantastic time. Really enjoyed getting to see the the examples of different animals and insects up close. They just broke grown on a new building and we are excited for it to be built in the next... More
