If you like Indian artifacts and history, This building holds thousands of stones,tools, jewelry, weapons. Build as home base for the Lawrence County Indian Education. The Echoda Cherokee Indiand Tribe, history runs in the blood of many of the citizens of Lawrence County.

Each year there is a native American Pow Wow that is worth seeing. Younger children will find it educational and there are lots of displays depicting life during the Civil War as well as pioneer days. Some fairly good arts and craft displays as well...More

If you want to learn some Indian history this is definitely the place to go. The employee was so knowledgeable he made it very interesting. People of all ages would enjoy this museum many hands on things to experience. Best part its free.

Fascinating how this mound was built by hand. Do wish the grounds had more interpretive plaques. Did not go to the Center. This is close to the Jesse Owens birthplace, grounds and museum.
