About
The Sundarban is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world. The Sunderbans is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The delta is densely covered by mangrove forests, and is one of the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. The present Sundarbans was declared as the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve in 1973 and a wildlife sanctuary in 1977. On 1984 it was declared a National Park.

Don't go with them they are extremely un professional, they will just cheat on you and wont share you the photograph where you will stay .

Very bad Staff Behaviour, just intrested in your money not in your trip, don't waste your money and time with them

We have just completed a trip to Sandakphu - Phalut with Travel Chhuti Chhuti and the experience is expressed in the title of the review.
Their approach is extremely unprofessional.
Examples as below:
1) Even after repeated requests they *didn't share photographs of the properties* where we were supposed to stay.
2) They *deceived* us saying that 2 nights of stay at Sandakphu with western style toilets were not available and forced us to stay at a very basic accommodation in Kalipokhri. *There was no reduction in price made for this huge compromise.* On reaching Sandakphu we found that rooms with attached western style WC were available at Hotel Sunrise, the best property in Sandakphu.
3) They *didn't share the complete trip inclusions over email or WhatsApp* . For example the details of the meals included and the kind of menu that we shall be getting were not disclosed.
4) They *have charged us a bomb* in comparison to what we have been offered. While on tour we found out from other tourists on similar itinerary and staying at better accommodations that we have been charged almost 25% to 27% more, which is unacceptable.
5) They charged the *same amount as for adults for a 6 year old kid* , which is unheard of in the travel industry. My profession takes me to places, I have travelled to more than 40 countries in the world, I have never seen this happen anywhere.
6) They forced us to pay the full amount before starting the tour. Probably they knew with the kind of arrangement they made and the deceit they did with us, they might find it difficult to ask for any balance amount if they kept any.
We had seen some good reviews about this travel agent which influenced our decision to book with them, but it seems that success and some good reviews have gone to their head and now they don't care much about what their customers experience.

We had booked a 5 days 4 nights customised trip through Travel Chutti Chutti. We were a 6 member group (with one child aged 6 years). Our plan that we shared with the agency was to stay at Tumling in Day 1, followed by 2 nights in Sandakphu and a night in Kalipokhri. We had contacted them a month before our travel with the plan. After 8 days they come back saying that the travel plan needs to be changed as there are no rooms possible in Sandakphu on stipulated dates. Thus unwillingly we had to revise our plan to first night in Tumling, followed by 2 nights in Kalipokhri and a night in Sandakphu in the order mentioned, as we had already paid up 20% of the tour cost. On the tour cost the charges were much higher compared (almost 27%) to the ones which were being charged by other operators and keeping tourists in relatively better hotels, we gathered this information when we arrived in Sandakphu. They asked for details of people travelling (Aadhar & other details) 7 days prior to trip as they did not get in touch for 14 days post the payment. Again they are not in contact prior to a day before travel, when I ask for an update. Then they asked for 100% payment without any document of booking or any other detail apart from hotel names, where they are going to put us up. When asked for e-mail or WhatsApp confirmation screenshots of hotels, the person co-ordinating only says there is nothing like that and We have to trust them with almost a lac of rupees (16645 per person, even for the 6 year old) without any document. Post this when we were not certain of paying in full, she threatens to not start the trip barely 20 hours before our travel. This was unprofessionalism at the core of a reputed firm, which claims itself to be GREAT. This ordeal continues till 2am in the morning of 22nd May, when we were supposed to travel. This was the first time we were availing the services of a travel agency thus upfront 100% payment in a customised trip where there were nobody from the agency team accompanying us, is uncalled for.
To top it all our train tickets didn't get confirmed so we took a bus from esplanade, which was supposed to reach at 9:30 am the next day, but got delayed 6 hours. We had to pay 1000 rupees additional for parking, after speaking to the agency to the driver. The co-ordinator was fully aware that we left Tenzing Norgay Bus stand at 4 pm. Post that we reached Manebhanjan at 7:30 pm (average time taken to travel from Siliguri to Manebhanjan is 3 hours, as per google, so we were on time), the car driver continuously kept assuring us we will reach Tumling the same day as everything is ready, we had offered to take food (lunch) from an outlet & eat it in the car, but driver said we will reach Tumling thus no issues we can take a stop over. Reaching Manebhanjan we realized we will not be able to reach Tumling the same day, so we started looking for a hotel, as the co-ordinator had said there are no hotels available in Manebhanjan & we will be required to stay in a car if we do not make it to Tumling, we had a 6 year old with us, thus it wasn't an option. The co-ordinator said she had spoken to some senior official who is going to allow us to Tumling but that was in vain. Then we called up the co-ordinator to appraise her of the situation but she started throwing TANTRUMS in its literal sense and behaved as if she was a MALIK and we were SLAVES, without helping us in any way. The trip encompassed lunch from 23rd May to breakfast on 27th May apart from stay. For us the trip started from 24th lunch, the full one day costed us 6k additional.
When we reached Kalipokhri, we were offered vegetarian food initially, I had to call the co-ordinator up for the clarification as we had opted for non-veg meal, then she clarified with the homestay. At night the next day we get a call telling its an emergency to call her back at 9 in the night. On calling the co-ordinator back we understand that she called for update of the trip on the 3rd night, with a day left.
We had travelled to Sandakphu on the 3rd day and realized that there were rooms available at Hotel Sunrise, the best hotel there, and rather than staying 2 nights in Kalipokhri we could have stayed 2 nights in Sandakphu, with attached western bathrooms. Both nights could have been Hotel Sunrise in Sandakphu. To our utter dismay the agency had said that on the 3rd day it can be only dormitory and Indian style bathroom for all 6 of us, what a lie. Perhaps this is the reason they want all the payment to be made upfront so that you cannot make any changes post that.
The co-ordinator had said to update on the tour daily, but with no network service available it was almost a non starter. On the way back to NJP again she started saying things which are uncalled for.
Travel Agency as far as we understand is a service industry where you are known and rated for the service you provide. For us this trip was absolutely PATHETIC and am sure none of us will avail there services in future. Am not sure about there operated tours but for a customised tour and POOJA as the co-ordinator is a complete NIGTMARE.
I don't have the option of giving zero as a rating or else it would have been so.
P:S: She shared the full paid money receipt on 23rd night at 8:50 pm, well past the tour start time, thus none of the agency commitment were met. Thus we had all reasons not to trust the agency in the first place. The co-ordinator will claim that one of my family member died, and that was the exact reason I didn't call her up on 22nd for follow up of money receipt, as far as I understand we were as cordial & understanding as we could be.
She is so pathetic that she has been continuously sending me messages after this behaviour and handling of tour, the tonality of the person is absolutely uncalled for. She called me today morning I guess after a review from my team member and has been sharing her TANTRUMS again, She called me an hour ago, and tells me we will meet at the review page. I don't have an issue as every word stated here is TRUTH.
My recommendation on travelling with TRAVEL CHUTTI CHUTTI on customised trips is an ABSOLUTE NO, not sure about guided travel conducted by them, as I don’t have the experience, to be fair to them.

I booked 3 days 2 nights Suderbans travel package with Travel Chutti Chutti. They have physical location at Kolkata but due to my last minute plan I contacted them through mobile and completed all formalities and payments online. I was travelling alone and the staff there really helped me with the things like online payments, providing complete info about tour and every other formalities.
They charge 3500 for 3 days 2 nights accommodation on boat and 4500 3 days 2 nights accommodation on hotel. Once you paid them money then you have to only sit and enjoy trip , each and every thing will be managed by themselves like food, travel tickets, permits, jungle safari and stays.
I really appreciate that they followed exact same itinerary that they told during booking time.
Our tour manager Mr. Debashis Kundu is a very humble and nice person. He took full owner ship of the trip and ensures that proper facilities, foods are provided on time. He is also very knowledgeable person and tells in detail about each and every spot of Sunderbans.
As expected we not go deep inside the forest (because no has permission for it). But trip in self and boat ride was really unforgettable experience. And delicious food they serve was ice on cake.
Overall it was nice and enthralling experience that is must have in once life.
Pros:
1. They provide finger licking good non veg food. You will get chance to east crab, prawn, fish, lamb and chicken. Although they also have veg option.
2. The staffs there from tour manager to boat driver are really nice and cordial that you will be start feeling like family with them in 2 days.
3. They arrange pick and drop from Kolkata .
4. Each and everything is as per earlier decided itinerary.
5. They also arrange bon fire night and culture program night like programs in trip.
6. You will get chance to see some of breathtaking view of giant Bay of Bengal and its adjacent child rivers (Video attached).
7. Although its very rare to see Royal Bengal tiger but you will get chance to see Kingfishers, Deer, Monkey and Crocodile. Also mangrove forest of Sunderbans has marvellous beauty (Video attached).
8. The tour manager can also speak Hindi so language will not be a problem for non Bengali person.
Cons:
1. Only opt for stay at boat when you are tight on budget otherwise go for 2 nights hotel stay because at hotel you are sure that you will get hot water and hygienic bathrooms in morning.
2. Journey from Kolkata to boat launch is very uncomfortable. You have to ride local train from Sealdah to Canning railway station and after that you have to sit in small three wheeler rider (shared with 5 peoples) to reach boat launch pad at Godkhali .

we have just completed the the Sandakphu trip with Travel Chutti Chutti....Good Experience....There are some difficulties specially on the return date but its ok...Bcz they are trying to organize the tour at their level best and the best part they were trying to contact with me everyday at lst one tym to how we are and how we enjoyed, OIs there any issues....we will make more trip with "Travel Chutti Chutti"..Hope our next trip will be with less difficulties...overall thank you for making our trip very Good....

Many many thanks Travel Chhuti Chhuti for making our holiday awesome. We are travel with them from last 7 years. We are truly satisfy in every tour. The coopearation, friendly behaviour is their strength. They treat their guest as like as their family member. Best of luck for their future.

Our Silk Route tour was organized by Travel Chutti Chutti..entire trip was very good. All the Accommodation was very good..( except for zuluk some bitter experience).The guide cum Driver was very good & Friendly & covered all the spot accordingly..I would rate the entire trip experience very good 👍

Me and my wife enjoyed a great dooars trip organized by Travel Chhuti Chhuti. It was a 5 day trip which included 2 days stay at Gorumara and 3 day stay at Jaldapara. We were staying at Gorumara Tea estate. The place was really great with awesome room view of the tea garden accompanied by great food and nice hotel staff.
The second stay at Jaldapara was at Holong eco resort , the room allocated to us had a great view towards the lush green forest. The staff, food and hospitability was great as well. Our driver was very experienced and polite and was a great addition towards the beautiful trip.
The itinerary was well planned. Although we did had make some changes later on for some of the safaris, overall it covered most of the places without making the trip a hectic one. We were lucky to catch a lot of spectacular wild sightings of the local animals and birds.
Overall the trip was a memorable and we would surely recommend Travel Chhuti Chhuti for a good budget experience

One of my friends suggested me about Travel Chhuti Chhuti, he also told me this guys are extremely honest and professional when it comes to conducting a tour package so I opt to go with them.
Amazing trip, arrangement was fantastic. On tour they are most carefull and responsible about tourist. They provide most hyginue room and food.

Planning to take the 2 nights Sunderbans tour in November with Travel Chhuti Chhuti. Just wanted to know, Is it safe & comfortable to stay overnight on the Boat 'La Fiesta' during Sunderbans tour ? We are a couple in our late 40's. Also, is the travel itinerary & food mentioned on the Website, honoured by the operator ? Thank you all in advance.

Let me share my experience. We went by a boat which is loaded with 60passengers.then they forced us to change it and divided us in two groups. The group which stayed at boat lafiasta told that there was insufficient toilet moreover dirty also. And the bed are not comfortable and not safe for couple as many group stay there without any female. So staying in boat is not at all couple friendly at night. But this is low cost than hotel.

Day 1
Sealdah Station.
Our Dooars tour starts from Sealdah Railway station by Kanchankanya Express at 08:30 PM by Sleeper class Coach.
Day 2
Newmal Junction, Chalsa, Medla watch tower.
Upon arrival at the Hasimara railway station, you are received and driven by Tata Sumo/ Mahindra-bulero to your resort at Jaldapar. This place is close to the Gorumara National Park. We prefer to put up our Dooars tour guests in resorts which give you a feeling of being either in the forest or in a tea garden.
After lunch, drive straight to Medla Watch Tower. Have you ever thought about taking a bullock cart ride on the way to paradise! Your fantasy turns real when you take a ride on a bullock cart from Kalipur to Melda watchtower. Far from the urban noise, the drums and beats of tribal dance, the essence of rural life, swathes your senses with ecstasy..

Early morning excursion to Samsing, Suntalekhola, &Rocky Island. Against the ho-hum of metropolitans, Samsing greets you with capricious cascades, picturesque landscape and green tea gardens that lie beyond the horizon.
Like Samsing, Suntalekhola amuses you with its magnificent indigo sky and hundred shades of green. As you trek from Samsing to Suntakekhola, you walk into the heart of Dooars.
The launch will be served at the hotel. After launch, we will visit Chapramari jungle safari.

Gorumara, Murti, Bhutan (Phuntsiling).
Early morning we will check out hotel and your destination is Jaldapara hotel, on the road we will visit MurtiRiver The unremitting prosody of river Murti, murmur of the woods, and call of the wild - the trip to Jaldapara forest is an unforgettable journey.
Check in at Jaldapara hotel and after Launch, we will visit Bhutan (Phuntsiling). The scenic beauty of the town named Phuentsholing is a treat to the eyes of traveller.
Return to Jaldapara Hotel at Night.
Day 6
Buxa, Jayanti, Rajabhatkhwa, Mahakal Mandir.
Early Morning we will visit Buxa, Jayanti, Rajabhatkhawa, &MahakalMandir. Buxa, which was once known for dolomite mining, now enthrals tourists as one of the largest habitats for tigers. The place is also home to several known and unknown species of mammals and reptiles. If you are lucky, you may witness Leopards, Sambar, Asian Elephant, Gaur, Indian Civet, Pythons and countless species of animals that reside in this national park.
The meandering river Jayanti is our next destination. Jayanti is "Mona Lisa" among the tourism paintings and you may call it "Queen of Dooars." The eco-tourism spot, far away from the smog of cities, has preserved its tranquil presence. Jaldapara Jungle Safari, South Khyerbari leopard Park & rehabilitation Center.

The sanctuary of Jaldapara is famous for being home to the one-horned rhino and is a famous tourist spot since 1991. Spotting one-horned rhino amidst the elephant grasses remains the foremost attraction of the jungle safari and part of Dooars tour. A sparkling Matangi River, luxuriant vegetation enriched with a wide range of fauna mesmerizes every visitor here.
After Lunch checkout and transfer to hasimara for your onward journey.

Return Back at Sealdah Station. Dooars tour package ends with sweet memories

dress is not a matter. just avoid vibrant colours. use colours that is near to colours of jungle. Like green, grey, military color, navy blue etc.
