    Mother House
The Mother House is the last resting place of Mother Teresa as she was buried in the tomb inside the house. People pay visits and offer prayers here. This place is also used for meditation by visitors as it is a soulful place filled with positive vibes thereby imparting peace of mind. You can see the old artefacts of Mother Teresa and the things she has used in her daily life. There is no ticket price. The main room of the Mother Teresa is closed on Thursdays.

    Peace and prayer
Welcoming, lovely and peaceful place, even when there are lots of visitors. The day we visited there were at least two schools and several other visitors. All quiet and respectful. It was a privilege to be able to pray at Mother’s resting place.

    A must.
A must to pay your respects to this remarkable woman. There is also a small museum which is very touching. The museum houses her belongings such as her sandals and a dinner bowl as well as newspaper articles. Try and avoid going on a Thursday as Mother Teresa's bedroom is for some reason not open to the public on this day. When entering the main part of where her tomb is kept, remove footwear out of respect and be quiet.

It was quite emotional walking around Mother Teresa's house, and reading about all the special things she did in her life for humanity.

Eye opening experience having spent a day volunteering at Premdan. We arrived at the Mother House for 6am mass which was followed by a short briefing. We were assigned Premdan and one of the regular volunteers first brought up back to their guesthouse for tea before we caught at bus the location.

The morning involved helping out at Premdan, which was a home for older men and women. We did a range of activities; including laundry, making beds, serving tea, washing up and even helping some of the more vulnerable people to eat their lunch.

It was a very rewarding experience and I would highly recommend all to do for a least 1 day.

One must visit this place, spend some time there, relax, and think about how privileged we are. The museum is small, but it needs one day to go through everything and to know how much she and her organization did for human civilization.
