Usually off the limits for general public. However the Indian army arranges special program and display during "Vijay Diwas" on every 16th December. And if you enjoy parade then you can visit Red Road on 15th August and 26th January. Around 8 A.M.

it is a working headquarter base of the Indian army. it is situated near the Maidan area and high protected with wall and many defense instruments. Can't visit inside without permission.

As this is a working army base, most people cannot visit this famous site due to the obvious restrictions. It's a shame as the fort plays an important part in the history of Kolkata and it would be good if the army itself set up...More
